Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

No children @eudemonism Toby is my dg and I have a cat as well - I do treat them like my children though - they are so spoilt lol

The weather is supposed to be fine here over the next week so I am hoping to get some gardening done - there is lots of weeding that needs to be done and I'll tackle it a little at a time.

Hoping also to get to the beach a couple of times with Toby - he loves the beach and it is a lovely walk.

Hi @Appleblossom So good that you went out and enjoyed yourself

Take care driving this afternoon

I am 58. @eudemonism I have never lived in small country towns, but noticed others had social problems in them, except for the ones who were popular. Gossip and exclusions can be harsher as everyone knows your business. Maybe one day you will move out and meet people on a fresher footing. If thats what you want, It is also hard to start again where you dont know anyone.

What's your garden like @Zoe7 ??? What's your housing status??? I'm hearing you about the gardening thing, and taking dog to the beech, as they're are both activities i do.

Yea nah @Appleblossom i don't think I'll be moving anywhere unless something drastic changes in my favor. And the odds of that happening are pretty slim right??? I'm hearing you about the small town thing...

@Zoe7 am gonna switch off and rest for half hour to forty five...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I live in a house that I am still very much paying off @eudemonism Both my front and backyards are small but there is enough room for a garden and grass for Toby to run around on. Cat loves sitting in the garden when the weather is nice. I am still in the process of putting edging around my garden and planting more plants. I buy them when I can afford to - some have died off but most have taken and are growing nicely. I have been planning on going to Bunnings for over a week to get some more plants but haven't got there yet. I usually take Toby with me and he sits on his blanket in the trolley lol

What kind of dog do you have?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

My dog is a kelpie x collie he's full of beans... he's well behaved, mannered and natured around other people, other animals and food... however he pulls on the lead and, chases cats and wants to stand over other male dogs @Zoe7 he gets by through coming with me in the car when i go out and about, visiting people with me and the odd walk along the beech. (For him it's running back and forth along the shoreline chasing waves) he's pretty settled most of the time. But as soon as we're out and about, he's all go... whatever he does is my responsibility... as for my garden... i got a small front and back yard... very private and enclosed... I've got all sorts in the back yard (it's work in progress) and my front yard is pretty standard, a few trees, a few potted succulents, a few smaller schrubs, both back and front need a big weeding each spring...
