Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Oh @eudemonism

Is that a leading question. I usually answer all questions directly and am surprisingly passive in that regard, but my full adult processing is finally getting more timely and reasonable, so I will take a step back before I automatically tell you what you want to know. How old are you....

Did you know that I felt stunned when I first posted here on SF and a person was carrying on about being in public housing as if it were a terrible misfortune. For them it was a social drop. They were "popular" and able to be challenging. That was not me. Seems I had stuffing knocked out of me well before I was 10. So became too obliging to all and sundry. I had always and still feel grateful for that flat, but somehow nobody noticed my gratitude or my misfortunes, then or now. so I have had to be patient and persist.

Sometimes it takes a long time to get to the pointy end of the stick . ..

Not long returned from the pool @eudemonism - now relaxing for a little while before I get some housework done. I was going to go to the shop before I went to the pool but I forgot my wallet so will need to do that too (might leave that until tomorrow though - nothing urgently needed).

What are you up to this afternoon?

I have a fair few things I need to get done but taking my time to do them all @eudemonism

Taking it easy myself for now too - have the tv on and Toby snuggled up with me. Think I may need a sleep soon too - very tired today but have done a fair bit the last few days so not at all surprised.

@Zoe7 do you have any children??? Who's Toby??? Yea I'm hearing you with the having stuff to do, being flat out all the time and needing to snooze the troubles away 😊

I often have thougths about getting out and about, doing stuff / knee jerk ideas of solving my problems in the moment... but rarely do i get any of it done... it's just a case of doing the basics and essentials... (the boring stuff)

@eudemonism

Sorry Eude think I got a bit defensive, so used to people's barbs, (that famous bloomin society, so used to having to absorb them, roll with punches, or get up after a fall etc etc ) but glad one did not come from you.

I am older than you, but still learning and growing.

@Hope4me @Zoe7 @Bunniekins

Met some friends at a gig in a bar last night. Think I am finally starting to get the hang of socialising. I ordered lemon, lime and bitters, and kept topping it up with water from my bottle. Sorry but frugal ways stick, and why should I pay for something I should not drink and dont wanna waste me money on??? Still wanted to buy something as it was a place with great vibe and attitude and free entry. There was a smoking balcony and I saw my first vape smokers ...live! Did not feel the need or slightest pang of jealousy of going without, just curious and chatty.

Today I'm taking it easy at first, son cooked good lunch, Later will drive him across town.

Have a good day Everyone.

@Appleblossom I'm 32 ... I've lived in the same town my whole life... the point of being diagnosed / becoming a patient... marks where things turned and progressively got worse... i was 19 when diagnosed... I've progressively felt the pressure of society building since then, to the point where it's basically unbearable...
