Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.
I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.
But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.
Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"
Yea it just happened then @Zoe7 this guy hasn't visited in weeks. And i got a feeling he only just visited then so he could bludge smokes off of me. It's really quite heartbreaking.

It is @eudemonism but you can't change his behaviour and I bet you gave him smokes as you are very caring. What you don't have to do is engage in relationships that are doing you more harm than good. That also does not mean shutting yourself off from people who you have given so much support to - it is more about taking a step back and not being as readily available - put your needs first. One of the things I have found with wanting to support others is that I can't do that without caring for myself first and that has meant taking a step completely away from some people for my own MH - it is very hard to do but also very necessary.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
Yea that's so true @Zoe7 however consider that I'm coming from a troubled family life, troubled schooling life, troubled working life and then troubled mhs life. And also, I'm learning alot about myself along the way, I'm learning alot about others, I'm learning alot about society & the system, I'm learning alot about religion. But also consider, alot of this stuff I'm learning is very negative and out of my control, yet still effects me regardless. It's a really tricky and delicate set of circumstances I'm faced with on a daily basis... it's a very fine balance between smooth sailing and riding out the storm... if could get rid of my alcohol, coffee and cigarette problems, at least then i know what I'd be dealing with underneath everything... again lots to consider regards mental condition, symptoms, medication and side effects. Some days i consider myself as defeated and at the mercy of the world...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
I think many of us have felt that at times @eudemonism - that the world has defeated us - I know I have. There is only so much that can be thrown at us until we ask ourselves if it is worth the fight and some days it doesn't seem like it is - those are the hardest days and take a lot of courage to get through. You have that courage Eude
I know when the storm hits it feels like it will never abate but all storms eventually pass - often what is left is a lot of broken pieces and it takes a lot to rebuild but it is possible.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
Yea too true @Zoe7 it is honestly a struggle, from dawn till dusk, and i don't think, anything or anyone can ever change that. I just think that it's an extra struggle for myself, and despite desiring to change things, so it's easier on myself, and despite desperately doing my best, to rectify things, all the odds are still against me. And it's so annoying to think that it will always be this way. -while th rest of the community are appearing to thrive and prosper. Or appear to be... not suffering like i am...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
It may seem like that @eudemonism but there are many on here alone that struggle each day and I can only imagine how many more out in the world who have not found the forums that also struggle. You are not alone in how you are feeling - which in itelf is really sad. We all have our own struggles - some similar to you but some very different. I have been where you are many times and I am hoping that I am coming out the other side now. That does not mean life is ok - far from it - but it does mean I have a little more hope that it can get better - that I could not have said even a efw months ago. All I was doing every day was waiting for that storm to pass and then getting to the next day and waiting for the new storm to hit - that is no way to live life but I got through. I had no belief at the time that I could either - that is when others on here held me up and kept me going - that support was invaluable. You are doing a great job by reaching out here for support - keeo doing that and keep talking here because we are listening

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
@Zoe7all these guidelines and suggestions about good mental health are a load of rubbish compared to what I've been through, and am dealing with. Not to mention the problems on my plate. I'm thinking i might as well be sleeping 14 hours a day, and completely numb to the reality of my situation (rather then face the problems )

Re: Sharing the wisdom within
Sometimes being numb hels us get through the day @eudemonism and if you need to sleep for that long each day then that is ok to get through it.
