Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hearing you @eudemonism

......

I have really struggled to be taken seriously by doctors in my situation .... really sucky ..... and yet it is important to keep trying in whatever small ways we can. We have a truth that is worth something.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

Saying good morning to you...

I can read from your words that you are feeling very angry and resentful of your treatment by others...

I am not going to try to come up with solutions...

I only want to say...vent...get that stuff out of your system...

I am feeling awful myself...I am so very drained...

I do vent in my therapy when I need to...can be quite a strange experience...frightening at times...

stuff that has been buried within us for years coming to the fore can be frightening..

so vent on here..

vent in your style of writing essays...poetry...songs on other threads..

then rest

hugging your pets and letting them show you how much they love you is a beautiful experience...

It basically comes down to myself thinking and feeling I'm being screwed over. By anyone and everyone...

Not the most comfortable of scenarios to be caught up in... and I'm thinking... yea i tried to prevent it, i tried to stop it, and i was blatantly disrespected...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I have had similar feelings @eudemonism although lack of ego would stop the thought of being disrespected. I just managed to reconcile with self the seemingly catastrophic loss of tools at work few weeks ago through my own chaotic actions. Everyone was out to get me. Everyone did me wrong. There was a conspiracy. I had no part in it. I could not get by without them. I did less than nothing to resolve a situation I probably created while bleating to others some appeasing some denying. Then I woke up this morning and realised it wasn’t about lost tools . It was about me being nuts. Der . Lol
.. So Endeth Today’s Parable. Lol

@Sophia1xo

Hi Sophia, I like what you wrote, gr8 advise, I need to do it myself. I think today, I will! I am so sorry that you are having a, Rough Time, today. You are always caring for others, I wish I could help you in some way?

I hope this is what you need, to make your day, beautiful.

Just 4 YOU! 🙂

Lyrics

There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

It's a long, road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time you'll find the way

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you

P.S.

I know you are not on your own, it's a love filled, beautiful, song.

@Former-Member@TAB@Sophia1

Sorry. I've been wrongly carrying on due to stress and negative thinking cycles. I'm with company at the moment. Will be in touch with everyone by the end of the day. Sorry about the nonsense.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Thank you dear @Former-Member THIS COULD BE TRIGGERING

I really don't do much at all...

You have so much courage and perseverance ....

Thank you so very much for taking the time to write all of the song for me...

That truly means much to me..

I cannot stop crying..

I have taken some prn....and painkillers my back is hurting so much too ..overdoing it in the garden and tension most likely.

I have had such a horrid day today..

"family member" being so abusive on the telephone and threatening to cut me off if I don't give him money...

he told me again that he only ever rings me because he needs something from me..usually money...he actually said that is all that he wants from me...what do I expect...who is to blame?

The other stuff was so horrid that I had to insist that I would not listen to such things...then he told me that I am nothing to him and he wants nothing more to do with me...

He has only been out of hospital a few days...I have spent hours listening to him...in and out of delusions...have sent him some money....whilst he was in hospital...

I set my boundaries and told him firmly that I would not listen to such terrible actions....be spoken to with disrespect and threats..he just kept on abusing me over my words so I cut the call off and have switched off my mobile phone..

I know that this is the illness ...

I have been abused by men in my earlier life and will not tolerate anything like that ever again..

I am sorry not wanting to offend you at all Eude...

I wanted you to know how difficult it is for me at the moment...

you too @TAB it sounds as though you have had some dreadful experiences also...

@Former-Member you have been so unwell on top of such extreme pain...

I hope that after expressing such anguish that people on the forum understand that I still love my son...always will..I will be here for him if he treats me with respect...I will not tolerate any more abuse in my life though...

sorry not wanting to offend or hurt anyone...this is about my experience with my very unwell son...whom the flipping public mental health system has deemed fit enough to be released....

I have grave concerns for his welfare even his life the way he is talking...

If I tell the mental health team they only repeat back that your mother said this or your father said this and twist our words.

@Former-Member if you feel that this response is inapporpriate or could upset someone I would prefer that you remove the post..

@TAB @Shaz51

Have I done the wrong thing in writing about this ordeal.?

I just could not keep it in any longer...

my body is in agony..

my mind is full of despair...

I have to be strong for my husband and my other son..

I am just so very tired of everything
