Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I have felt very alienated and dissociated. @eudemonism

Lots of people are reaching out to you, simply as you are.

Part of the problem can be the way we use language. For me there was a big shift when I realised that society was not one thing, but lots of individuals and groups.

Hope tomorrow is a better day.

@Appleblossom I'm wondering where all the people are to support me. I mean actually knock on my door and ask how I'm going and try to help if need be. It's always myself reaching out to others. And of course it serves a great purpose for them... I'm talking about real life and real time...

Dealing with people is really messed up @Appleblossom
No matter who they are that I'm dealing with. It usually turns out to be a fricken nightmare.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Sorry @eudemonism I cant knock on your door, or effect how others treat you in real life..

Nor do I have anyone knocking on my door and caring about me.

What I did do was try and keep any sense of good feeling or energy about my experience on this website and transfer that into real life. There seems to be an odd delay factor but it has helped me. Eg today I went out and mingled socially. It is in area that I feel support for the cause, and each time I go there are other people I have met from other parts of my life. I spoke to new people and quite a few who I know from different places.

I was real and me, but not totally focussed on my needs. I bought my own coffee and gave a donation and helped put the chairs away.

For me that was a huge turn around, as I had a monologue about "society" going in my brain for decades.

However today I could joke and laugh, relax and connect. Not meaning to boast, but trying to show some of the process of how it can get better.

In the past I was much more clingy. I only ever knew one person, and I could not chat or laugh. I also am able to remember past events and apply it to remeber the people and their interests.

That siad I was a stunned mullet the day before and could not remember anyone's name, when I bumped into someone unexpectedly.

What if ... there were other part Eude clones walking around, wanting you say hello?

@Appleblossom yes well we most certainly cannot live life alone. As that would be most miserable. However on the contrary, these people in our lives, indeed effect us greatly, either for better or for worse, either with good or bad intentions, either with selfishness at heart OR selflessness at heart... I'm switching off for the evening... the most pleasant time of the day has arrived... moments before sleep and during sleep... good night...

@Appleblossom I'm really tired of waking up to the same bullshot every day... self medicating with coffee and ciggies (to get myself going and to keep the depression at bay ) contemplating why I'm feeling this way and pin pointing the causes... (other people's influences - ) there is no joy, peace or love in my life. I feel like I'm being tortured. And no! It's not myself doing it to myself. It's society doing it to me. And I've had enough.
