Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

I'm not coping real well due to outside influences (the ways of people, the ways of the world, the ways of society) plus I've got my mental problems, medication and addictions to deal with. Everything combined amounts to an awful burden i must carry. Feeling very sad and heartbroken. Very degraded and demoralized also.

@AppleblossomI've been trying to normalize and rationalize, my situation with myself. And all I'm getting is extremely negative feedback, and thoughts of being totally screwed over by everyone.

I'm literally feeling shell shocked... by the circumstances of my life...

Yea @Former-Member music is sometimes very negative. There's so much mainstream music out there. And alot of it was made by very mentally ill people. And has a very manic sensation that comes with it.

If they cannot give it to you, then it is time to learn to give it (love) to yourself. In the end I had to stop hoping to recieve it from my biological family. They had nothing more to give me. It simply was not possible, but find your dignity, regardless. You are worth it.

Dinner with parents was the usual thing... @Appleblossom I've given up on expecting compassion, empathy or sympathy from them... conversation is usually revolved around themselves, their lives and their needs and wants... even if I'm asked a question and i start trying to open up to them about my issues- i usually get rather negative feedback and looks... so i try not to go there...

Yeah I thought that might have been the case.

People grow in different ways. There still may be other people in the world, that you have yet to meet, that might connect better with you as an individual.

Last weekend I consolidated friendship a bit with new people that was a surprising pleasure. Just a collection of the their traits meshed with my experiences. We are going out to movie and a meal tomorrow.

I am learning to keep reaching out, even when i get wounded, just make small adjustments.

@Appleblossom I'm not expecting to meet anyone new, any time soon, not anyone who is much different from everyone, already in my life... and yea, i think it's because my circumstances are so severe and grave. (Not real pleasant or favorable) sad really...

@Appleblossom i think they've concluded and are happy to say 'I've done it to myself and it's my own fault ' they are very close minded when it comes to talking about reasons why this has happened to me, and possible solutions, that are within my capabilities and control.
