Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Mazarita i was also like that once upon a time. However we can (must) learn from the past. And we can (have) things to look forward to in future. But yes living in the present indeed very important. Years ago i was terrible with looking backward and forwards. With resentments and repenting. Good advice Maza... living in the oresent is best...

Yea @TAB sometimes it is great to have others to focus on... i believe we all have moments when we focus on ourselves. And its not healthy. So you could say. It's crucial to focus our energy on others and their needs and wants on a regular basis. It benefits and serves ourselves more well then being selfish, self centred and self absorbed.

@TAB that's why you gotta make the most of time spent with others. And yes i know how difficult being alone can be. The words of my dad. 'You have no friends, you only have family ' geez almighty! I would of been waiting awhile for my family to give me the support i needed and for them to accept that I'm able to support them. In a sense of maturity and equality.

Sounds rough re father’s words. Mine never said that. Just acted it re no friends . Ok he was beyond painful to family too. Hmm. Heard recently people like him at work? I was a bit taken aback but it was my selective memory painting over things. @eudemonism

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

Sometimes friends are our family....

at other times our family do become our friends...

you are sounding better within yourself despite the struggles that you describe..

I read between the lines that your mind is starting to shift away from old negative patterned thinking...

also that when it comes to the fore...you are better at reasoning with it...

loving to see you communicating with others and offering so much support...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 I'm constantly trying outrun the resentments. Literally demon upon demon are coming at me all day long. The lists of people who have hurt me, are hurting me and will hurt me - is huge. It's really quite terrible... no wonder i wind up with problems of the mind!?. No wonder i wind up suffering from addiction!?. It's beyond a joke aye!.. people must think I'm a soft target...

Feeling very upset and wound up at the moment... I'm wishing there was a way out of all this pain, hurt and suffering.
