Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Years ago i remember thinking... no I'm not going to dabble with or mess around with drugs. Because it's going against what the system says is right. And it goes against my upbringing. And i didn't want to cause anyone or myself any harm. So i go with the legal option. And wammo bammo the system turn around and tax the Jesus out of it. Not only that... it's because of reasons which are unjustifiable and scientifically unprovable... years ago the doctors would prescribe tobacco as a health treatment... years ago they would advertise and promote the use of tobacco... now as a tobacco addict I'm literally getting screwed over bye ridiculous tobacco tax... all in the name of making a very well off and fortunate systems even better off... while destroying my chances of living a half decent life... it's ludicrous...

Plus. Truth be known. The pharmaceutical drugs the system are giving me will cause me and have caused me much greater long and short term health issues then tobacco ever will! I can't work it out...

Big deal if i drop off the perch ten years earlier because i smoke cigarettes. Do i really live in a nice world anyway? I've got to die of something... And truth be known... my cause of death regardless if induced bye smoking or natural causes or medication (not the first / won't be the last...) is probably gonna cost the same amount anyway

You gotta do wot ya gotta do.

Both my parents died of lung issues and both smoked. I smoked heavily for over 10 years but am glad I gave it up 30 years ago.

2 guyz on train were talking about how it was cheaper to smoke in Korea ...

All I can say ... is

Take Care Mate

My last couple of posts were reported as spam for some reason. I realize they were politically motivated. And i realize they were personal issues I'm dealing with. But i also believe they were my open and honest and truthful opinion. Which bye law. I'm entitled to have.

Every feud i have ever been in. Every time i felt there was a wrong or injustice that happened to me. (I didn't just imagine these things out of thin air) after desperately trying to resolve the issue in a polite and diplomatic way... - i solemnly preyed for the other parties involved. I solemnly wished all the peace, joy, love, happiness, health, power, strength, control and wealth upon the opponents. Because that was the motivating force behind why they came against me in the first place. And i quite simply did not have the energy to fight and battle anymore. Because i realized it got me and themselves. Absolutely nowhere.

Far too many times... i have been the one who has had too... admit I'm wrong, take responsibility and allow myself to be held accountable... meanwhile the opponent seems unwilling to do the same thing... even though truth be known... to get a proper resolution... And to prevent the same thing from happening again... both parties...needed to admit to their wrongs, take responsibility, and allow themselves to be held accountable... it's just not fair...

Hi @eudemonism - just wanted to clarify they were not reported by people, the system picked it up automatically because of some keywords in your post.
Sometimes spam posts talk about some of the things you are talking about.

I have fixed it all up now though.

@s-jayyea sorry about that. I didn't know what had happened.

I also been meaning to ask the moderators and community managers about their stand point on my involvement with sane forums? - as everything I'm writing about has great meaning to my day to day life. Is everything a ok and going well in other words? Because i don't wanna be digging myself a hole that i can't get out of (so to speak)

Hello @eudemonism @Former-Member@Appleblossom

I am not too familiar with how the pawn shop systems work...

my understanding is that you can buy the item back ...probably at an increased price for the owner's profit...providing that someone else has not got there first?

Those of us who live with mind struggles as I prefer to call it....I do not believe that we are ill and the word mental has an archaic ring to it representing white straight jackets era....

Therefore the mind struggle scenario brings with it external effects from the outside world....we are more susceptible to these as we are already working very hard at surviving with what is going on internally in our mind....

attempting to cease an addiction cold turkey without support....is almost unachievable..

What about looking at the situation from a different aspect....a few days ago you achieved your goal of not smoking....today you did not....

overall you still have an achievement.....something to be proud of...

every day is different,....you might want to try to stop again another day...you won't know until that day comes...

Therefore no need to think of it along the lines of permanent and leading to death......

one day at a time...

Part of self-care...self-nurturing...that you read about the place...

Would it be easier if you set your goals each day....

today I will not smoke....not thinking about giving up....just stopping on that day...

next day...how do you feel...today I will do.....take dog for a walk....

today...I will visit family

break it down to daily goals...if they dont happen...not the end of the world...

there is always tomorrow...

You are still on the right path Eude..

Having a lunch break @Former-Member@Appleblossom

hope that your day to day goals work for you also...

I use this philosophy most days now.....saves a lot of disappointment and letting myself down feeling stuff

Hello @eudemonism

I have emails rejected....could not work out where they were until I finally found an email explaining...

You are not alone...

As far as being honest and open about your feelings...that is why the forums are here...

We all have to be aware of the guidelines though....

If you feel comfortable telephoning sane 1800187263..someone will be able to reassure you that you are not breaking any rules as such....

At the end of the day though...the most important factor is that you feel safe and able to trust...a telephone call talking about these things might be reassuring and put your mind at ease...

Other members do this all of the time Eude and I am sure that there are many others of your friends who feel the same....we enjoy having your friendship...your honesty....

you must put you first though..

hopefull all is sorted out for you and that we can keep our virtual friendship....

big hug
