Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Yes @Sophia1 my cat and dog are slowly becoming more wise about the tablets I'm pushing down their throat. The first few times it was easy but now its a little more difficult. So i may have to consider alternative treatment methods.

This fortnight i have not bought smokes. And treated myself with other stuff. A new phone. An eternal hard drive. And treatment for pets. Now I'm faced with the prospect of withdrawing from tobacco.

I think my best shot at making it work will be turning into and afternoon person and going to bed later. Sleeping through the morning. And totally changing my routine around.

So if I'm not my usual self over the next few days you will know why. I'm basically going to have to relearn how to function properly. Because I've pretty much been dependant on tobacco for around 16 years now.

Step bye step Eude

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

well done @eudemonism

Great that you spent the money on something that brings you pleasure and helps you continue to connect with others...

everytime you look at your purchases...tell yourself .....I was able to buy these because I did not buy any cigarettes ...that actually burn my money...

You will need support at times which of course you will find on the forum..

the quit helpline might be useful ...worth a try...nothing to lose...if you dont connect with the person...just say thanks I will just leave it there...

there is also a section on the sane forums about quitting smoking...

@Former-Member

I don't know how to connect links....can you assist Eude with some support suggestions in this......he is a very courageous young man .....we all know that everyone who gives up smoking for ever needs some help...

Some vets suggest mixing tablets in some paste that animals like...mine were wise with that one...yes you guessed.spat it out....soul fur cat now on rainbow bridge ...would find the tablet hidden amongst biscuits and eat every single biscuit ...leaving the tablet...animals are colour blind...

watch with your changing sleeping habits ....sleeping in too late in the morning will eventually interfere with you getting to sleep....I do understand where you are coming from

are you still on the patches?

I may not be on here for a while soon as with packing...I am also moving into rental property on my own...don't know when I will have internet as husband will be using here...too hard...

so if you do not here from me suddenly....I have not left...I will be alright...will miss talking to you and others...

I will be back...in what condition not sure....I will be back

big hug Eude

Sophia

Hi @Sophia1 and @eudemonism,

There are two threads you might want to take a look at about quitting smoking. One is here, and the other is here. I hope they offer some helpful strategies!

Have a lovely weekend.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 rental property alone?

Yea the old addiction is a tricky problem to manage... basically my whole life and routine is based around addiction. Far from ideal.

I think that when I'm left to my own devices. And not constantly surrounded bye friendly faces i do come through with the goods for myself. Meaning I'm capable of everything i need and want to do for myself. I'm just to wrapped up in socialising. As my dad said to me as a child. Community members bring each other down.

I'm searching for that special someone. I'm searching to fill the void. I'm searching for a better life. And it manifests into unhealthy stuff. It's an uphill battle.

I could be doing so much with my life

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Good morning @eudemonism @Shaz51@Former-Member@Appleblossom

I awoke early this morning....

must mean that spring is in the air...

I love all of the seasons....

I do get tired of them as they start to come to the end of the quarter...

I am not keen on too hot summers plus I hate humidity....

The mosquitoes .love me too sadly...

I hate the wind....I read somewhere else someone saying that too.

It blows through me and I don't like that feeling....

What is your favourite season?

I see that you enjoy spring cleaning Eude.....

bye for now all

Sophia
