Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Sophia1 I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for all the kind, caring and supportive words you've spoken to me. I sincerely hope you've received as much as you've given, in the process of dealing with me. My interactions with you, have truly been a light which I've been guided bye; in a world that can only be described as dark and hellish, for this I thank you very much. Eude.

I am not sure whether or not you read my response...

I decided to edit the post anyway..as I want to ensure that I do not upset you..I realise that you struggle so much at times..I am not sure if this is what is happening now or not...no need to answer....

I will try harder to be mindful of what you might be going through at any given time..

I wish that I could help you more during those times...

I am aware that I have encouraged you constantly to keep on writing when you are struggling with overwhelming ...non stop thoughts..at the same time being careful not to risk revealing your identity..

also that it is something that you feel comfortable with ...

I do not have all the answers...I share what helps me .....

I sincerely appreciate your beautiful words above...they mean a lot to me ..

Your response reaffirms yet again that you are such a lovely...gentle...caring man...

If nothing else...I do hope that you start to believe more and more in the real Eude...who is such a beautiful young man...

take care Eude

Sophia

@Sophia1 What about your own struggles and the other seven odd billion people also struggling? No need to always make it about me, as if it's a good distraction from your own issues, and the other six odd billion people with issues.

Why do you think my mind would have thought like this? 'You need the help and I need the connexion'?

Would you say I'm finally expressing my unconscious mind?

Sorry to be prude about it...

I'm among many many billions of other people with similar issues...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 sorry that was a blunt quote even for me, try to take it with a pinch of salt, and not to heart, also apply it to many of the relationships I'm in with your imagination. It's not good to experience, it's easy to bottle it up, it's easy to let it manifest into abnormal behaviour.

On my social media page this morning, I was talking about hatred... And I even dreamed of hatred the other morning... Where there is hate there is love and where there love there is hate... We instinctively try to please people... Judgment is one of humans top ten fears...

From the instance I awake in the morning... When i go from sleeping to being awake... My mind is jumping straight onto the issues in my life I've got to deal with... Pivotal right? So now I know what I'm doing with each day... I'm dealing with the thoughts of the first few seconds after I've opened my eyes in the morning...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 I grabbed a length of rope from dad the other day. And it's either for an extension on Misters lead. Or for a fishing bucket rope. Any how, the last couple times I've taken Mister visiting with me, I've tied him up (with this extra length), so he didn't fight with the other dog, and so he didn't chase the sheep. He just laid down and chilled out, got some rest. And when I arrived home before I thought it might be good to tiedhim up to the veranda post out th front, so he can chill in the sun, be on guard and check out what happens out the front.

But the thing is, I start fearing the unknown fears and dismissing the things I will love about my idea coming to fruition. And basically retreat into my comfort zone. I started worrying about another dog coming along and there being a fight.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

I probably am different to many people...as I do not talk about my own stuff that often...

I have a therapist with whom I discuss those things...

I have written to you about some of my struggles at various times...you might not remember...

I can tell that you feel angry with me...Perhaps this has been building up for some time now..

I do not write to anyone as a distraction from my own issues....I write to some people offering support...that comes from my heart as well as my head...

It seems that you feel that I have singled you out and made you feel as though you are needy and desperately in need of my help...

This could not be further from the truth..

However...I do not like that fact that you feel this way as a result of my words....

You do not need the connection...you are right...

I hope that you decide to stay on the forums and find others with whom you feel more comfortable conversing with...

I hold no grudge or bad feelings...

I strongly believe in honesty...

so ...all the best...

@Sophia1 What does this statement tell you. 'I'll be the first to admit - I hate my life'?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

I have no idea about your feelings at present.....

I have hesitated in responding to you ...the last thing that I want to do is upset or exacerbate your feelings in any way..

I want to check in on you though...

regardless of how you feel ...You have come to mean something to me ...

I cannot turn off my feelings like a tap..

I said from the beginning that I will be here for you...I now know that my support is not helping you...however I am still here..

I hope that I can at least emphasise that you can talk to others on this forum...this forum is still here for you...regardless of whether you connect with me or not...

that is what I want for you..

Sophia

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 no matter what you say, I don't have a problem with talking with you, It's just that sometimes I feel the balance is out.

I'm receiving all this help, care and support from you. And I feel I'm not giving back an contributing enough in return. Ultimately I feel I need others more than they need me.

I'm sorry I overreacted and said what I said. I genuinely care for all people in my life. And besides that, they all basically do their own thing at the end of the day. Eude.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Hello @eudemonism

I have been going through quite a horrible time ...since saturday...

have not been able to express myself or offer words of support...

have been struggling with just being me...

questioning when is enough...enough...

I feel as though someone has roughly picked me up and thrown me to the ground...

I am still spinning...

Yes something else has come at me full force...I have chosen not to discuss it on here...I am still reeling and just breathing for now...

Thank you for your honesty yet again in your response...truly a credit to who you are Eude...

I get what you are saying about feeling that the conversations are one-sided...

You have recognised a trait in me...I am not used to bearing all to others...I have worn a mask for most of my life...

have been naive and hence vulnerable ending up hurt....no need to go down that track...I was discouraged to talk when little...found my voice once I started work...

I have a very soft voice...I am also a strong listener...Many people overtalk soft voices...love listeners...do not allow time for the listener to talk...so I have for a long time just asked others about themselves...as I am interested anyway..

I have in the last few years found strength within me...as a result of continuing intense therapy...I now stand up for myself and still stand up for others without any problem...

The thing about finding your own inner strength...being true to yourself...is that most people who know you feel threatened...not in a nasty way...just within themselves...so some people do not like the real me including my mother...

You do not need to feel that you have to talk about everything...you don't ...I have been encouraging you to vent on here because you do not have a strong relationship with a therapist whom you are able to open up to regularly..

I do have this...I use this source for my opening up.

I am a giver basically...I want to help others who are genuine...honest....not because it makes me feel better...but because I feel pain when I see others hurting...does that make sense?

We both know that...in real life...everyone no matter what type of friendship...relationship...parent...teacher...boss..sibling...best friend...friend...acquaintance...have times where there are misunderstandings...we are only human...

As long as I am not hurting...or offending you in any way...I am happy...

So from this moment on if you would like also...we renew our friendship...
