Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hello @eudemonism

Keeping up with house cleaning is hard enough with cold weather..

when we are struggling with our mind stuff nigh impossible..

inspections whilst a pain get you moving..you know that you have to do it..

then once over..enjoy feeling of clean tidy home..

how is your cooking at the moment? Making nice hearty casseroles? Soups?

curries with rice are always yummy in cooler weather..I cook beef or chicken with vegetables in the slow cooker and serve with brown rice..

As for the system...try to tell yourself what is important is how you see yourself...

Eude can tell himself that he has analysed everything over and over..now is time to look at good side..

make a list of everything that you have achieved..

heaps..

let me know what you come up with..

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Sophia1 I'm just glad to get through each day and too be able too call each day half decent. Each day is a case of 'do or die.'

That's a good meal idea I might use it sometime. Its hard preparing food and cooking for one. Really hard.

I've been in the mhs and taking medication for 13 years now. Since the age of 19 it has become a burden.

Eude

@eudemonism 'if it could go wrong it did go wrong. ' Truer words were never spoken of me ... for quite sometime eudemonism ... you have to however stop beating yourself up about this. You are a kind and sensitive person who feels alot of guilt over what his illness has done to him. No one is perfect we all make mistakes and even if the world cannot forgive you you must forgive yourself as it is not your fault.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Yea @Bunniekins I was just talking about it, acknowledging it, and expressing my thoughts and feelings surrounding it. More than a lot of people do... Some just let it silently eat away at them or develop negative coping mechanisms... Or even worse... Don't even acknowledge it...

@Sophia1 food is my only source of comfort some days. I do alright for myself.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Bunniekins all the mental stuff. 'symptoms' are easily explained as far as I'm concerned. Not only easily explained. But also easily dealt with. However, unfortunately the mhs is not up to date with such things. This is my honest opinion. I feel like my demise. Through my MI and symptoms. Has served a purpose for many. Who knows! It could be God doing it too me? It could be God in the form of other people's thoughts in my mind? Who knows... All the other people in my mind could be part God...? You could call all of it... A form of self discipline...
