Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Coming to terms with reality

The chances are. I'll live my life. In away that is driven. Bye. Guilty, worry and fear. And be petrified that I will be persecuted for one of the mistakes I've made. Judged for it, and punished for it. Bye someone who was involved in the initial mistake. Because it upset or hurt them.

And the alternative is. I live my life. In away that is driven bye. Freedom, ease and love. And be euphoric because I believe I'm receiving grandiosity for all the actions I'm trying to get right. Be approved of for. And recognised in a positive way for. Bye whom ever maybe involved. Because it made them feel good.

That's the positive and negative aspects of my mental illness.

@Sophia1

Then there is the present. The meditation. The recognising negative thinking patterns. Normalize not stigma. Accepting. Urge surfing. the positive self talk wise decisions.

@Sophia1

I connect with nature bye standing in the garden for five or ten minutes. Or going for a walk along the beech.

My walks around the block have stopped. As I was getting rather severe pain in my feet. It made me feel like collapsing. 140kgs. Old foot injuries. Slight arthritis. I'm classified as obese on the doctors bmi chart. Not good hey.

I know that it is a very difficult situation that you deal with...

thank goodness you found these forums where you can vent your feelings...

if you can find the strength to tell your gp that you need to change your medication....your weight is causing you to have other physical issues....sore feet and being unable to walk is preventing you from exercise....

exercise helps mentally as well as physically as you already know

extra weight also puts you in a higher risk factor for damage to other organs in your body and more...

this is part of your doctor's duty of care....he or she has to listen and help you...if that does not happen look up another doctor surgery in your area...finding a good gp is the best start for you to manage your life again..

these are your rights as a human being...

we all want you to have the best care that you can...be listened to...helped properly...

will be thinking of you....sending you healing thoughts for calm...peace and strength to be heard by the doctors...

will be back on here as soon as I am able....will miss you

take care my friend Eude......your friend always Soph

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Sophia1 & @Friendconnect I'm having some insecure thoughts... Things like I've become to much and have begun to overwhelm you. Despite your best attempts to help me. Which has drained you both of vital energy you need to look after yourselves and live your lives to the best of your abilities?

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Sophia1 & @Friendconnect life goes on... I've told myself that I'm remarking boundaries with people in my life who are affecting my feelings bye their actions. And are essentially bringing me down. I started with this guy today and who likes to talk spiritual jargon. Next it will the guy who visits me to bludged smokes. Instead of sugar coating things and being the nice guy for people. I'm going to be stepping up and putting a stop to the things people do which essentially hurt my feelings. Which I'm afraid to confront them about. Because I'm afraid of the confrontation. It's like this from day one with people. But the thing is. I feel obliged to be the nice guy and protect their feelings. And bye the time I've bottled it up. And I've vented to third and fourth parties. I feel like the bad guy. And I feel like bye venting to the third and fourth parties. I've preempted them to become allies against me. When I've finally talked about their actions affecting my feelings in a negative way. And than I become the common enemy. All for standing up against people who are hurting my feelings. Through their actions.
