Do you ever feel like your standing infront of your self watching your world crash?
Do you feel like you are losing control but know you can't stop it and just have to let it happen?
That's how I'm feeling. I feel like I have no control and I can see everything in slow motion falling apart but I can't do anything about it.
I'm trying to keep busy and going but it's just making me manic and hardcore panic attacks and as soon as I stop I start to cry and think what's the point of life.
I reached out to friends but they don't care. They all have children and jobs now and I understand they are busy but be nice if they came over and just gave me a hug and we watch trash tv and eat cake.
My husband just keeps going ok ok ok ok ok ok ok I understand. But how can he really understand. I just don't feel supported by him. I keep telling him I'm breaking I need to slow down but he's like you will be fine.
I know I'm breaking and it's going to be a mess. And I hate I can't stop it.
I tried a new drug today. I'm scared of medication as I hate being dependent on it. I tried a quarter of what the doctor wanted me to take. I felt like I had 5 shots of Tequila and a relaxent all in one. My hands started to fly in the sky and my panic levels went crazy. So I was like no just think you have had a drink and that calmed me down but I can still feel it playing in my mind.
I feel like I can't live a functional life with out medication. I try so hard and I'm sussceding in so much of it but it's burning me out and I know this fall that's about to happen is going to set me far back. Life on pills just makes me feel dumb and slow and what type of life is that.
I'm just starting to think what type of life am I going to have?
I read an article on people with deppresion and it's like of nothing makes you happy including medication and therapy you should just live for others. That upset me so much. It's like you got no hope so help others you empty person.
This week to 5 of my friends have moved to Europe and 3 announced their pregnancy and I'm just like look at everyone moving forawd and I'm stuck and frozen. I'm trapped.
Its good that you are looking after yourself. Mental health days are just as valid as physical health days, dont worry about trying to guess your colleagues thoughts. I am sure many of them have even had days off just becasue they wanted to (no valid reason).
what strategies usually work for you when you feel overwhelmed? what are you going to do / can you do to continue this looking after yourself mindset?
dont forget the helpline numbers as well if you need them sometimes they can be a bit of a circuit breaker in your thoughts ie lifeline 13 11 14, suicide callback 1300 659 467 or beyondblue 1300 224 636

Re: When everything starts crashing.
Hi @Fancy_Pants & @Former-Member, thank you for replying.
I just feel bad, like a work they generally say don't come in if you sick sick can't get out of bed or contagious. I know I have a right to call in a day off for mental health but it just feels strange to do it. Yes I bet a lot called in because they want a day off. But I'm a little old school. I never do that lol.
I was talking to someone today about being intuned with your mental health. And I'm like I know when I'm getting unwell High and Low amd try and put in strategys to help me. But one thing I don't know or can control is if they are going to be big bad highs or lows. And if they are big regardless if I put in strategys it dose nothing to help. So zero clue if I will be able to look after myself or not. Fingers cross it won't be a big fall.
Generally what I do to help myself is I slow down. Just slow right down. I don't socialise with anyone. It seems to help me focus a bit.

It can be difficult to take steps for yourself and your mental wellbeing. There is still stigma around mental health, and those who don't suffer sometimes don't understand exactly how debilitating and severe it can be or how someone can't "just get up.. just get out of bed..". To do these tasks that for others may be dreaded but normal and needed to be done, for us, suddenly becomes impossible.
It is good that you realise though and are taking those steps for yourself. You should never be ashamed, it may feel weird but, it is really out of our control.
I do hope your days get better and that you can soon get back on track. We all have bad mental health days, and that is completely okay. Sometimes we just need to accept and be mindful that those thoughts and feelings are present, and to sit with them. Even though it can be extremely uncomfortable.
Take care x

Re: When everything starts crashing.
So now I'm starting to lose my temper and I'm going non stop. I just go go go go go go go and I can feel myself still breaking. And I'm still not getting much sleep. I'm thinking of taking a few days off work but I'm holidays next week and it will look bad.

Re: When everything starts crashing.
Yep really feeling it. I was thinking last night if not going to work as I'm feeling a bit down and just stretched beyond normal but no I thought I could do it. As soon as I got to work one of my friends came up to me and is like you don't look well. Your eyes look extremely sad are you ok? Who knew eyes can show sadnes?
I got a week till I'm on holidays but I'm breaking fast. I'm in the go go go zone and not sleeping and I'm so scared as soon as I stop my brain will freak out and I'll get sick. Anyone got anyways to stop the crash hitting hard? I'm still not medicated as nothing agreees with me. I'll be starting something new after the holiday.
Also I struggle with my partners family who I will be seeing a lot of. They are just loud people who don't think before they think and don't know it but are a bit clicky and they are over close. So my partner is going to txt them as they don't really listen that I'm not medicated, I'm out side of my comfort area, I'm coming off hard core working schedule, i will he shaky and just not to say anything insensitive about mental illness, don't try pretend they understand me as they don't listen so they can't understand me, if I go silent or stay in the room I don't need to be checked up on or told to join the party that I'm just having a calming time. And if I get sick do not try to intrvine and try to talk sense in me as I can blow up big time and to let him handle me and follow his instructions.
Fingers cross when they read they take it in.
