Something’s not right

Over it

Over it

I have everything I have ever wanted in life and more.. An adoring fiance, amazing job, great family and friends and yet nothing is able to fill this gapping hole I have within.
Constant feelings of overwhelming sadness, anxiety, paranoia and complete nothingness. I constantly ask myself what is the point?
I have tried everything meds, psychologists, psychatrists and lifestyle changes with no avail.
I'm tired ive been fighting with myself for years!
Feels like no-one will ever get me. I'm so lost!!

Re: Over it

@Hayley1 I am nearly finished doing a DBT course and i have been diagnsed with BPD amoung other things. DBT is pretty intense and requires a lot of effort on your part but it is good and is the best thing for BPD in my opinion it is one of those things where you get back how much you put in.

@Former-Member

Hospital has been on my mind. However, the public hospitals here aren't good at all and I dont know how to get into a private. It is a last resort but my fear is that they will reject me and then I will ultimately end up dead. I am at that breaking point.

I do volunteer at the RSPCA but haven't gone as of the last month as I just can't seem to be able to get myself out of bed 😞 I just am so down in the dumps. I dont want to start anything because I want everything to end.

I just.. dont know what to do from here in all honesty and I am scared.

Re: Over it

@Former-Member I am so glad to hear though that you did ultimately take that time off for yourself. Although going back to work must have been very difficult and I am glad to hear and truly hope that, that time did benefit you in some way

Re: Over it

@Former-Member i kind of just want to ask if you are safe tonight? because i can hear that you are struggling and have reached out before.

Wow thats great that you have volunteered at the RSPCA 🙂 that's amazing. It's ok that you havent been in a while, it might be a good goal to have to go again and make a plan for getting to it again.

I did a 'mindspot' course a while ago, i don't know if you've heard of them? i think you'd find it if you google 'mindspot' it was kind of helpful and did teach me some strategies for problem solving and breaking goals down into achievable bits...

just going to tag in @Baboo as well and @Former-Member who's modding tonight 🙂

Re: Over it

@Former-Member Private is much better if you can get in. do you have private health insurance? if not do you have a lot of savings? if not you are stuck with public but if you do have either of those normally you need to get a referal from your psychiatrist or GP or both and call the hospital and they will talk to your doctor normaly there are forms to fill out and stuff too.

@Eden1919 @Former-Member

I have heard that private hospitals are better and sadly i do not have that financial support or have any income or savings.. So I suppose I have no hope there either.

The public system never gave me enough time and chucked me away always in strife. Again, mainly due to my selective mutism. They always gave up on me still in a crisis. However it is bizarre because I have only been admitted into the mental ward not during a suicide attempt... and during my suicide attempts where I have stayed for weeks medically.. they have rejected me.

Uhg I feel so hopeless.

Re: Over it

@Former-Member are there any other hospitals you can go to? i am sorry you cant go private. i hvae had many admissions to public and some to private but i struggle with speaking to people so often i ask to write it down and i will write notes to them. sadly i find depression is over looked often in the public system and is often a last priorty but that is just my experience and other places may be different.

Re: Over it

@Eden1919
I have been admitted 7 times in the public system in th past year mentally and it hasn't been the most pleasant experiences. I did often write but they, too got frustrated that I always wrote and yet couldn't even simply say "hello". Then they would get rid of me. The most amount I have been admitted to the mental ward is 2 weeks but I never feel as though it is enough time and then I am discharged with nothing and get worse.

I don't know if there are any others unfortunately 😞

Re: Over it

It's great to hear that mindspot helped @Former-Member but there are other similar courses that you can check out @Former-Member if there's an age restriction. We can email you a list from the Help Centre tomorrow if you'd like.
