Something’s not right

Over it

Over it

I have everything I have ever wanted in life and more.. An adoring fiance, amazing job, great family and friends and yet nothing is able to fill this gapping hole I have within.
Constant feelings of overwhelming sadness, anxiety, paranoia and complete nothingness. I constantly ask myself what is the point?
I have tried everything meds, psychologists, psychatrists and lifestyle changes with no avail.
I'm tired ive been fighting with myself for years!
Feels like no-one will ever get me. I'm so lost!!

Re: Over it

@Former-Member that would be delightful if you could, please. I have tried kidshelpline, headspace, suicide call back service, lifeline, beyondblue, and little courses here and there 😞 Nothing has helped so far

Re: Over it

There's generally something that can make a difference but it can be a frustrating experience getting to it. I'll email you the list tomorrow and any other services I can think of. Take care of yourself in the meantime @Former-Member. I'm heading off but there's another moderator around.

Re: Over it

My "likes" are "I hear you" @Former-Member .... I am sorry I don't know what I could add. BPD is not something I am familiar with, but I hope you feel welcome here, and help comes your way through the network of people and their connections here.

Re: Over it

Thank you @Faith-and-Hope I do not have BPD, you must have read what @Hayley1 was talking about there. But, thank you for listening.

Re: Over it

Good morning @Former-Member.

Yes, my comment was in relation to the mention of BPD, and it was @Hayley1 who mentionedit ....

I started on the forums with the Carer side, but issues with my hubby's illness has caused mi issues to surface in other family members as situational depression, however treatment for those "side" issues is starting to surface the bigger picture.

although there are a wide variety of mi issues represented in the forums, and stemming from so many different circumstances, there are also a lot of similarities and common experience, which is in general very supportive and compassion-filled.

There are also more social threads where you can chat generally and share a bit of a laugh sometimes .... no responsibility taken for some of the lame jokes ..... but amongst the anxiety and tears, there is a lot of camaraderie and wit.

Take care ....

Re: Over it

@Faith-and-Hope I am really sorry to hear about your husband's illness and how much of an impact it has had on you and other family members.

I, too, hear how much of a community of support you have built here where you can talk seriously but also can have a joke and laugh with.

I hope to learn more here, as I am still very new and also hope to get better at navigating myself around.

You take care too! Thank you.

@Former-Member

If you go to the Lived Experience Forum home page (not aware of which device you're using) you will find a rage of Discussion Topics. One of these is "Enjoying Time With Others". That's where you will find the more social pages, and special interest topics. Everything Cats ! is a favourite of mine, and Feel Good Moments or 365 Project are interesting too. If you type these titles into the Search bar, they will come up that way too.

@Faith-and-Hope

I am on an Android. I will definitely take a look and have a search around. I have an absolute love for animals and cats, although my kitty can be quite vicious but also very loving. He is very two faced.

Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it.

Re: Over it

That's one of the functions provided by the forums @Former-Member ..... at times when you really need a distraction and some positivity of any kind, you can access these types of threads to help you move past the pain or sense of isolation,
