Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander- try to relax (I know that sounds stupid) but you are safe right now. There's no dog; your mind/thoughts are tricking you.

You need to tell yourself this over and over again. Focus on your breathing, try to slow it down.

You have smiling mind, don't you? Or can you put some calm music on? Then try to focus on nice places or good times you've had before.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander I'm right here beside you ok, helping you to slow your breathing down, refocus your mind.

I've been bitten 2x times myself so I totally get where you are at. But I'm mostly ok now. I still get scared and take a wide berth, but I can pat some and enjoy their company

@outlander
I sincerely understand about nightmares. I have been having them since I was only tiny maybe 7 yrs?
I have has so many I have lost track ?
Some are so scary I must have a horror house somewhere in my brain to dream them? Now I scared myself for writing that 😞

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander so one thing at a time then, ok? Keep your eyes open, focus on a safe spot in your room.

Try smiling mind again. If your sisters aren't in the same room, tell yourself out loud that 'I'm safe, you are my thoughts only and you can't hurt me'. Say it over and over again. Pick a number like 6 times, 10 times, whatever you think it takes.

Do you have any prn anxiety medication?

Re: when is it time for hospital

Everyone has nightmares to an extent @Former-Member esp kids but adults often have a reason for them. Ive got a role of tapes that when i get these they have them on repeat and never leave 😞

Too scared to sleep too scared to move. Stuck in my own body fighting this stupid mind of mind

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander you've been triggered, and you've probably been stressed about today, which I heard went well, is that right?

In time, you'll cope better with these triggers. You'll be ok. It's not your fault nor are you to feel ashamed. One thing, one step at a time, ok
