@outlanderyou are not destroying him at all nor are you ruining his life. He sounds like the only one that is worried about you. This tells you that he cares for you. Just take some deep breaths and try and calm down again. I you are going to drive then you need to be able to do it safely.

Re: when is it time for hospital

what @Former-Member said is true
Clearly he cares. He knows that going to hospital means it's bad, which is something he doesn't want for you. It's not said out of spite or anything negative. It comes from the heart. I think it's great.
But don't think you've broken him. You haven't ruined his life at all.

Hi @outlander

@MDTand @Former-Member are right - you are not ruining your Pop's life - he cares for you and I am sure he can see what's happening and for him - he is concerned you will end up in hospital because he can see what's happening

Have a talk with Pop - tell him you are afraid of that too but they way you are being treated is destroying you

You are not the life-f^k^r-up - other people are doing that to you - and I hope you are able to get away today - just because that seems the best way to deal with this during the day at least

You do so much for your family - and Pop is telling you things look pretty bad from what he sees - so he seems to be on your side and cares - maybe he can help

I am wondering about your therapist - is she helping at all

btw - just an idea from my past - sometimes I had to find somewhere for my son to live - he was not legally allowed to stay with us unless it was for a holiday - so I would get on the phone and ring people - one after the other - and keep on when people gave me ideas of where else he could stay - and I always found somewhere.

This can be done - I think you need someone else to do this but I know that things in the system were worse over 30 years ago - and they are much improved now - so there is something - it's just a case of finding it

After all - you can still be your Pop's carer if you live somewhere else

You are getting a lot of support here and it seems to me that as time passes people are drawing together with their ideas - we want the best for you - but talk to Pop - he might really be able to help you

All the best - we all care for you so much here

Good Morning Claire @outlander

I think the yelling and screaming has started, I'm so sorry about that. But I do think you knew it was coming, doesn't make it any more pleasant. That's the hurdle I think. Knowing it was coming and taking action anyhow . . . and you've done that. But that's also the chain that they use to bind you, it's not easy to break it.

I hope you get to talk to your Doctor today. Whether they're helpful or not, it's someone in the really real to talk to. Someone that you can explain all the details to. I'm still wondering about the Centerlink thing, wondering if your receiving a carers payment for your Pop and whether you have to live-in with him to get it? I also wonder what happens when your Pop passes, is your Mother his Daughter, does the house go to her?

You probably don't need to hear nutty Niquas thoughts on the matter, as they aren't important. What is important is that you are cared for, loved for who you are, no matter the situation. I don't know how you cope, I'm guessing you do so by not coping - I've done a lot of that - and I'm still here. Throughout my lifetime I felt that things just went from bad to worse, but now I've guided my life to a calmer place, managed to keep one true love - the center of my Universe, surrounded myself with the most loyal furry friends, and learnt that you can make it through.

Love you Claire

Re: when is it time for hospital

Good points Niqua

There is not much security or stablity there - but what we think or know or whatever - @outlander is the person who really knows what it's like and what she is okay about doing

But yes - Outlander - you do need to go to Centrelink about this and tell them how bad it is for you there - and insist how ill it is making you

You need an independent income - but then again - this has to be up to you

You do deserve much more than you are getting

Re: when is it time for hospital

Oh yes @Faith-and-Hope ive been all over the countryside and even got lost. Im.back to sitting in the car in parking lot for the moment.

@Owlunar @Former-Member
Ive already got my own independent pay. My job is through centerlink as a carer.
I cant move out. I might be able to stay somewhere short term but when mum moves out this is my house anyway. Im actually already on the lease.
And yeah i knew this was coming. They are both at work so its not too bad. Mum has been ok surprisingly. Getting the normal treatment from the bf still. The dhead.

I make it through and cope because of the people here. Who knows where id be now. I dont really want to think of it tbh. The fact is im still here and i have to make it work somehow and it that means alot of roadtrips thats what itll have to be.
