This sounds brilliant @outlander
I don't know what your safety plan is but yes - see how that goes - and if you feel it's not working then do whatever you have to do to get to hospital - this is sensible
And getting your pysche to have a session with your mother - great - and your mother has to go how serious that is - really - she has to and this is the time
And the fall-out will be bad - you know that - but remember - you are not causing this - you need to have your mother listen and that is not a huge ask - it's her reaction to your request to ask her to listen that is causing the fall-out - your request is entirely reasonable - everyone has the right to be heard
I'm not suggesting emergency housing - just emergency accommodation for the night - I think if you feel okay about it a few nights in an hotel will be fine - I do this all the time for fun - you need the break from a chaotic and toxic situation. But please don't stay in the situation until it improves - that would not be good at all
And yes - she needs to see the distress with her own eyes - she does need to open her eyes and look - and hey - any inconvenience she feels she has coming - she has been treating you in a most inappropriate manner and this has to stop
You have the support of some wonderfully wise people here - we all know you have to make up your own mind and it was not at all snappy to insist that you don't want an intervention at this stage
You stick with us if that's what you want - I can be here for ages yet if necessary - I am sure there are others too
