I agree that it would be a good idea to touch base with your therapist @outlander. If you are serious about leaving, it needs to be planned, and with support, as much as possible.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander you really need some distance as you are completely overwhelmed and can't think. I thinks others are right, just grab a few things, get in your car but please be safe. We'll help you work it out. But you're going to need professional help too lil Sis. We will help from this side. But we have to get you somewhere safe for tonight

Re: when is it time for hospital

@Faith-and-Hopeis right - you do need all the support you can get @outlander

But I have the feeling you have to get out now - am I right?

So - get in your car and drive some distance away from home if you have a few things with you then you can get into emergency accommodation and you will not be there with nothing

Or if you need to - just get in your car and drive a short distance and get onto your therapist or your doctor and tell them - you haven't committed yourself into running away at this stage but you will be out of the house

I don't want you to run away but I can sense your desperation and maybe getting out of the house will help you settle down - you have come this far and not been taken seriously - and this is serious

@outlanderhun I am so sorry things have not worked out.

How long have you got the kids for? Might given you some time to plan your next step.

Ringing the psych is a great idea

Re: when is it time for hospital

I hear you @outlander

Right - you told your mother you needed whatever and she didn't listen - your middle sister is old enough to watch the little one for a while - and I know you care about your Pop - and so tell him - as for your mother - she doesn't take this seriously and never will

So yes - find yourself somewhere away from the house and settle down - you have battled so hard and you are exhausted - the kids will be okay - and this is time for you to feel safe and I don't think you are safe atm

There will always be some reason for you to stay - there always will

She's still there @outlander

Leave right now - just drive away from the house and ring your therapist - that's reasonable - not at all dangerous - just letting your mother know you are serious

Actions speak louder than words

Re: when is it time for hospital

You will have help available to you to be able to leave home @outlander, through C'link and other facilities that your therapist will be able to help you with, but perhaps respite and intervention in your home situation, with family counselling involved will be able to reset the boundaries that you need in place.

One step at a time Hon, and that first step sounds like it's contacting your psych, out of earshot of your sisters, which might mean sitting in your car outside to make the call.
