Re: when is it time for hospital

Hi @outlander

I have taken the weekend off to rest my leg but I have been watching over you as I said and I know things are not going well

What I think about your mother is not at all good - I had better not say anything except I cannot imagine anyone being as selfish as she is and let it go at that

You are doing your best for your Pop - you know more than anyone how his health is and how doing things like helping a friend with his care will affect him - you are right - you are his carer and you are behaving in the right manner

I wish you the best for your trauma session today - these sessions are not meant to be easy but yours are especially hard - I know that - and still I hope this one is more helpful that tough

And all the best tomorrow also - I will be thinking of you when you have that surgery - and I wish you the best outcome possible - I do read my phone when I am not on the computer so I will know

I think it's appalling that you have to let your paid work go so you can do your unpaid work and the amount of work you do in your home is astounding - wow - that is so much

One foot in front of the other and keep breathing Outlander - and as for those people you thought you were your friends - they never were -

You open your heart here and I bet we know your inmost thoughts so well

Thinking of you

Dec

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander gosh, you really have it tough don't you? If I could come and help you with ircto get out of your situation I would. It's seems so bloody unfair. SH is not a selfish thing to do. It is a coping mechanism for emotional pain, and for some people it's an impulsive action. Unfortunately those that have never had MI or SH have little understanding of why someone can do that. That doesn't make them a bad friend; just a misunderstood one. Much like my foster sister calling my suicide attempts 'silly'. I'm sorry you've lost some friends, but true friends would have stuck by you through thick and thin. You are looking out for your pop; stick to your guns. You have so much on your plate love. No one is in your shoes and knows what you are experiencing or dealing with. I know you don't know me or others on the forum personally, but you do have friends here that understand you, that care about you, believe in you and only want the best outcome for you. Hugs hunny

@outlander,don't know if I'm the best to give advice the way I feel but that "old friend" needs to go and **** ***.I had a neighbor telling me I needed to suck it up without knowing what I'd been through. Unfortunately you learn who are "friends"and mine are long gone, they are from work and I know their mouths are bigger than their hearts and I will have changed.
As for your Pop,if he enjoyed helping someone you can't stop him,but if he agreed knowing that you are right that's justified ,or if you know these people only took advantage of him.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander - do you mean your therapist? If it's your therapist then ask her what point is she trying to make? What does she hope to achieve?
