Hello my beautiful cyber grandgirl Claire
@outlander 🙂
Somethings happened in your little pocket of the World? Your Aunt isn't going to be able to take the girls for a few hours each day while you work, as was planned? You know there's always the chance that your boss will accept that you need the week off - your a hard worker, they will know that you wouldn't ask if you didn't need too.
I'm sending you a distraction - a photograph of where I went for my walk yesterday. It was a new piece of the State Forest, we hadn't been there before {it was exciting :)} Though the GPS sent me through what looked like the gate to a private property - and maybe it did, but as far as quiet country roads go {well tracks} it was a little rough in places, but still accessible by 2WD in dry weather - in other words it was a beautiful drive 🙂 I actually stopped at this dry creek bed and went for our walk, before I drove on to try and find my GPS spot; I came down the road and saw this clear, dry creek bed just screaming 'come walk on me!' 😄 . . . so we did, though it was slow going for a poor old cyber-Nan! It was like walking on the soft sand on the beach - good work out for the young fella and both my furry friends LOVED rolling in the sand! 😄 It was shady the whole way along the walk, as there were trees growing along the bank, we found a very comfortable log up against a tree, that made a completely suitable lounge chair to sit on for afternoon tea {which was pretty simple, being a drink of water :D}. After the walk I did drive on and found State Forest signs, but somewhere along the track I obviously took a wrong turn, and maybe my GPS signal stopped, which led to my having a bit of an adventure 😉 So I'm driving along these country tracks which are getting more and more goat like, through beautiful green paddocks with rustic looking gates and fences - when I see another ute driving towards me from the opposite direction! Wasn't expecting that! Anyhow, the track is such that you have to drive at paddock speed - so we just slowly mosey on up to each other, pull up so our drivers side windows are adjacent each other; and I'm already holding my GPS up, saying it tells me the highway is that way, then asking which way it really is? It really wasn't what I was expecting whilst driving around state forest roads {well I thought I was driving around on state forest roads}, he said he'd never seen anything like it, someone just driving around in his paddocks 🙂 but was very kind and even drove me out {me following him} to the gate back at the highway 🙂 So, that was my Sunday afternoon drive, walk and adventure 🙂
The 'Good Morning' pic I made this morning was actually a sunset photo I took on the way back from my excitement. It made for a beautiful end to Sunday afternoon, that plus I stopped at the 'local' truck stop and bought hot chips for tea; and was even naughtier and got a small block of chocolate that I ate before I got home! 😄 It was a lovely Sunday afternoon {which for half the day I'd thought was Monday, and somehow it made it even more relaxing when I realized it was really Sunday ;)}
Lots of love and Nanny hugs to you Claire ![]()

ok, I might sound like a "mother" here @outlander!!
1. If you can't tell us about something then we are not here to judge. If and when you want to tell us, we will be here ready to listen with open ears and warm hugs. But you have control of that and no one can take that from you.
2. Good that your Aunt explained herself to you
3. You are NOT the one bit selfish because you SH. I too do it. It is not as if we choose this life that we have been dealt. We don't choose to SH. People SH for lots of different reasons and it cannot be summed up into one word. I hope that you believe us on here rather than an old friend.
4. I am sorry to hear that friends have turned thier back on you, that must hurt alot. I too have lost friends and I think it is becasue they don't understand me or know what to say to me. But you are not replacable at all, no one is.
5. I cared for my father when he was still alive. I had many arguments with other family members about how to care for him. BUT, you are doing what you think is right for your Pop. From what you have said previously you care for him the most, so you would know what is best for him. I don't think you are overstepping the boundaries at all. You love him, you care for him and you are doing your best, that's all that matters.
I know with these words I cannot make it better, but I hope you find a tiny bit of comfort in them. If not, just disregard everthing I said!!
Hope your appointment goes well. Thinking of you ![]()
