Re: when is it time for hospital
Im so scared @Sans911 They want the spot urgently removed as in tuesday unless others cancel and i can get in earlier. They want the whole thing and as it looks like its spreading already they want more than just the top taken off then if it comes back malignanat more tests to see how far its spread then removed those areas

Re: when is it time for hospital
@outlander I know you are scared sweetheart and that's completely normal. Has it been there long? If not hopefully the can remove it all at once and it hasn't spread, and maybe, just maybe it's not a skin cancer. And if it is, we hope it's easily treatable. As hard as it is, you can afford to let this drown you. Focus on other things you have to do, like taking care of your grandfather, your sisters a mind your work. Why do you do some drawing, and relate it to the spot-do you know what I mean. Get it out of your as much as possible. Worrying excessively will just undo you. There is nothing you can do until it's removed, then you'll have to wait for the biopsy result. Im here with you @outlander. You can squeeze my hand when it gets too much.

Re: when is it time for hospital
Scared doesnt even cover it @Sans911 i cant even think of a word to match how i feel. Thats the worrying part i dont know how long its been there for and because ive noticed it change twice its a very bad sign. Unintentionally coming off her was fear. Fear from others makes me worse and she was sending off alot of that. She pointed out 2 other points that she noticed that are really not good and are often seen in skin cancers. Do you know how rare it is to even have something like this at this age. Shes shocked she said. I cant draw i cant concentrate i cant drive so i cant do work my prn isnt working. I cant stop pacing. I want to throw up. My earache and earache isnt helping which she checked and its a heap of fluid build up but cant do much about it might take a few weeks to go. I dont know what to do My poor nails are gone already

Re: when is it time for hospital
@outlander,all you can do is take it as it comes, yes the fact that the doc wants to take it off straight away instead of a biopsy first shows its got obvious signs of high risks, but at this stage still can't get yourself worried because it's still not confirmed when they send it for tests.I know it opens the ground up in front of you but remember there are many who have it done and are OK.☕

Re: when is it time for hospital
Hi @outlander.
I have had melanoma and it was caught just as it turned, but it was looking quite dramatic by then ..... and it was still just in the surface of my skin.
It was quickly and easily removed, but that happened across a few weeks, so the dr's have an idea about how these things behave and how to take action over them.
I was kept under annual observation form5 years, but there were no more dramas. I do have to be conscious of being sun-safe though, and I have had pre-cancerous sun-spots burnt off occasionally, and another couple of miles removed just so I don't have the issue of keeping watch over their behaviour. I see a dermatologist annually just to check for any signs of trouble, but apart from that, it's not a worry for me.
Take courage and take care Hon ..... we're all here for you ..... 😘💋
