Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander yes, I need a new phone. Waiting on my tax return, but I have a lot of bills to pay, including several, very expensive ambulance bills of nearly a grand each!

My cat was very calm & well behaved. He wasn't jumping about too much & we were driving on straight country highways & city freeways. I handed him over in the city as it was hard to turn corners. He is my cat, but my house mate & share his care. He spends more time with me, which I'm obviously glad of.

You're never a bother to me @outlander; not at all. If it helps you to get out stuff that's bothering you, then that's quite ok. Sometimes I struggle with how to help you, and my suggestions to you don't seem to help. Then another member steps in, like Zoe7 & whatever they do, works for you. Which is great, because I need that sometimes & so do you. So what I'm saying is, don't stop posting; they're will always be some around to help.

Even though I've been getting a little better in the last week, I still have many times where I feel hopeless and overwhelmed. I understand that sometimes those feelings take some time to go away, but you are finding purpose in life, which helps to fight those feelings. When you find purpose, life starts to feel less hopeless & more fulfilling. Your journey will take time @outlander, but you keep trying, you keep searching for things to bring purpose into your life. That is a brave thing to do.

Your cat must be placid @Sans911 mine are in cages in transit and meow all the time. You must put him in the car often. My male cat years ago was good only because he was used to the vet as he was always sick.
Ambulance bills? Before welfare I was in the ambulance fund around 40 -50 or so a year.I hope you are now in it @Sans911

I hope your able to get something nice for yourself with tax return dont spend it all on bills
I bet you are his favourite. Im glad he doesnt distract you too much while driving.

I know you dont and others don't mind but i feel like a broken record. Dealing with the same crap everyday. But thank you it means alot ❤
I have to and want to search. I dont want to keep being in a psych ward because i can't run away from myself. Theres no running from me so i have ti make changes so i can be comfortable in my own skin. I know itll all take time and there will be ups and downs and round and rounds as long as i keep putting one foot in front of the other right

Re: when is it time for hospital

Thanks @outlander, @MDT and hope you are OK @Sans911.

Been OK past few days, really distressed at the moment, just rang my mother because I have to reply to a wedding invite and I'm not going due to many reasons as stated here and needed her answer as I need to reply today.Told her I've been gardening and separated bulbs etc.All she did was whinge and criticise eg:gave the neighbor some bulbs yesterday as we have a small yard, she said "you didn't give some to him?".This neighbor lets me go in and pick tomatoes etc in summer. This is what I put up with all the time and at times it shows how ungrateful she is.Like when I worked and got a loan for a garage out the farm she wouldn't sign a form stating that in case she passed away.It was advice I was given by the bank.

Now I realise why I've been OK past few days besides the less work....Mentally I can't handle her.

Prior to that outlander I made a Dr appointment for Friday, asking for a medical certificate in case the job provider puts shit on me I can't handle.I questioned it for days after the phone call with my mother I realise I need it .The thought of going on a carers pension because of my mother and because I'm a long term job seeker contributes to my Hopelessness.

I am doing something today ,going for a hair trim which I haven't had since April due to letting it grow over winter...But Im starting to feel like Witchy-poo !lol

Sorry had to spill my guts ,at the moment I could crawl in a wombat hole and never come out.

Hope you all have a good day.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander @Former-Member @MDT Good morning all.

I hope today is an OK day for you all. @Former-Member we used to have an ambulance fund in WA, however, it's since been removed, and my health insurance only covers one trip per year. Only people outside the metro area get to pay a cheaper rate & can have multiple trips. You would think that it might have put me off further attempts on my life; sadly not. And I didn't always get a choice to go to hospital or not. But I don't want to reflect or go back to those difficult days.

How is your day shaping up? It's still before 8am here, so I'm enjoying a coffee in bed as the mornings are getting brighter, but there's still a freshness in the air.

@MDT how are you today? I know you really struggled of late. Is anything improving? Have you had you support group yet, and how did it go?

@outlander yes, I know we can't run away from ourselves. And I too feel like a broken record, sometimes stuck on the same thread, skipping over & over again. It's a shame I think, as I'd like to unzip that layer of me that I don't like (oh hang on, that's ALL of me!) and take it off for a while. We just have to plod on, right, and chip away at the bits of ourselves that no longer serve us, and hopefully carve a newer, more efficient model?

@Sans911,you wouldn't think there would be such a contrast in health access to NSW to WA.That is ridiculous how you aren't covered in a health fund.Good Government racket to get money by the sounds of it.

Re: when is it time for hospital

Hi @outlander

You are making progress - you are so right - wherever you go there is going to be something that is always the same - when you arrive you arrive at the same time

So I do think that a psychiatric hospital certainly has it's time and place - sometimes anyone needs to go there to find themselves - I know I had to take breaks like that to find my level

Now it seems you are reaching that place where you will be ready to make the changes so you can be comfortable in your own skin - which is a life works-in-progess - been-there-and-done-that - several times

It does work and it does get easier - and it takes time with one-foot-after-the-other - and - after-all-these cliches

You might just have started on the right path

And I am wish you all the best
