In relation to @soul who just posted, yes good points ,you are a student, employee etc,I am no expert of those things and feel lost.Had a falling out with a sister years ago.Yesterday in a cafe ,my sister walks in with two daughters.I had to walk past and not look to get out.My niece walks out and I had to ask which one she was.I hugged her she's around 13-14. I. Am nothing outlander but a failure, don't give up.

Estranged from my sister too @Former-Member. Have no idea why but it's too hard. Reached out - was rejected and told in no uncertain terms, she didn't want me to be part of her life. Have to let it go.

@soul,she is a large part of why I got mental illness,I avoid those circumstances due to anxiety.I felt like a trapped animal.I felt more remorse for my fact that my nieces suffered through that and that I am now a failure.I feel everything they made me out to be I now AM.At my age, I never grew,or was thwarted in being allowed to be given the chance.

It's hard @Former-Member. Took me a while to accept that. My sadness comes from my children being ostracised as well. Wish they could have grown up in something that wasn't always a dysfunctional family environment.
Hopefully they will have better relationships of their own down the track. Both my parents have passed away now. Can't see any reason I would ever meet with my sister and brother again.
It is what it is. I could be devastated by, try to fix it only to be shattered again or move on. I chose the latter.
