Re: when is it time for hospital
I got my results back. Ive got thickening 2 ligamanets and a torn ligament in another part of my foot and this is still from 4 yrs ago. Cant imagine the damage to start with!! I have abit of arthritis and my injury will always flare up but with the arthritic pain meds , management when doing things out of the norm and strapping it. So basically what happens is when i ride or do heaps of heavy duty stuff my ligaments that are thickened are tearing and tje more the thicken the less elasticity i have so it just re tears so i could have 3 torn ligaments at a time in a flare up @Former-Member@Owlunar@Maggie@Queenie@Former-Member and everyone

Oh, @outlander, that sucks!!!! I have chronic foot issues too and it can really wear you down. What's the treatment plan? Have you seen a physio about it? Often a good (specialised) physio knows more about treating musculoskeletal stuff than a gp does.

Re: when is it time for hospital
Yeah it does so now ive got another 60 odd years with this @Former-Member So the plan is to stay on the arthritic medications to help with pain and inflammation. Strap my foot when im doing an activity i know will agrivate it and do some physio exercises for it.
And she said that my mental health is more important than weight but im still loosing it as itll help with weight bearing.
Also shes glad ive got my psych that i have now- not sure if u got my tag in the chatting thread to u. But its explained in more detail somewhere on this page or previous about latest psych visit. My gp said if im not doing good come in anyway it doesnt mean i need hospital but she wants me in when i get into that suicidal state. And shes happy wity my ad and mood stabilser dosages and so am i at this point plus i have a prn when i need them as well.

Re: when is it time for hospital
Me to @outlander, me too. Sounds like you've got a good plan in place to manage it. And also to work out what activities aggravate it, and which don't. For a while I wasn't even allowed to walk much so I took up swimming, which I HATED! WITH A PASSION!!!! But I started to like it after a while. I also have full orthotics in my runners and a modified orthotic in my regular shoes which helps heaps with my inflammation.
What's this new psych like? I know you were having troubles with the 1st one. Sounds like you've got some good things in place - a good gp, which is good to see regularly. I find I tend to minimise when I'm starting to feel bad and wait till it's really bad. By seeing your gp regularly you might prevent a similar thing happening. prn is also tops. Do you find it helps when you take it. I'm also glad to hear you're feeling better then you have been in the past. 🙂
