Still here and still thinking of you @outlander. I'm hoping that by posting here you 'feel' the support of the forum when you log back on, whenever that may be.
I hope it's ok to post here while you're away. I don't expect you to be wanting or able to reply but I thought you could come back and visit these messages if/when you're feeling alone, to see that there are people here always, which means you're not alone here. We're 'here' even when we aren't, and even when you aren't too.
I've been thinking about how your family will be managing this experience and your fear around whether their reactions would make things harder for you. I've had very similar fears in the past and the reaction from my family made my hospital experience (a while ago now) very difficult to start. If nothing else, it helped people realise that I was human too, with limits and a breaking point. It brought mental health into the conversation and helped my family see that not acknowledging and denying the reality of mental health concerns, was very unhelpful. Over time some people went back to their 'normal' way of being but I believe experiences like this live on. Even if your family go back to their 'normal' too, I hope this will stay with them also, as a reminder of your limits. We all have limits, none of us are superheros, and I hope people stop before you reach yours again.
I'm wondering whether you're being listened to and heard, and whether people are genuinely trying to understand you and support you. I really hope they are. I hope you feel safe wherever you are at the moment and that you're being treated well.
Missing seeing you around and looking forward to hearing from you again, whenever that may be.

I'm thinking of you each day and I am sure that you are better off where you are right now and that your mother has to pick up and get her own mind around her responsibilites - which is a good thing
Ask for help so you can live away from home until your pop needs you to live with him and care for him

I wanted to let you know that I've been thinking of you over the weekend and wondering how you are getting along. I really hope that this weekend will mark a positive turning point in your muddle. However, I also know that it almost certainly doesn't FEEL positive right now. Sometimes we can't see the pivotal turning points in our lives until years later when we look back on them. Like @CheerBear said, whatever has happened this weekend, things will definitely be different to how they were before.
I can imagine how awful it must be for you if you are in hospital without your phone. I can imagine how isolating it might feel to not be able to make contact here, when the forums are such an important part of your support network. It totally sucks that mobile phones are banned in NSW psych wards (or at least, all the ones I've been in).
I look forward to your reappearance on the forum. I can imagine how alone you feel right now, but you are not alone @outlander. You have a lot of people here who care about you.
