A = Another Self Care Alphabet. A running reminder to notice and tend to our own needs and a little spoiling along the way. To be our own best friend, in thoughts, deed, tongue, what we expose ourself to and what we take in🌷🌿

E - Exercise
My default 'sweat it out activities' are usually: walking 45min, housework, gardening... Sure helps the mood, skin, meeting people, bring in nature...

D for my dog, who is my best friend, especially when I'm feeling sad
B for (plastic) blocks, which soothe me when I'm anxious. I can build things in rows of colour or haphazardly: they are a distraction from my feelings and emotions.
J for jigsaw...not 500, 1000, or 2000 pieces, but 48 pieces, nothing difficult for me!
T for toys, which are in my colourful bedroom. If I'm scared or weepy I can hug one to my chest to try and sleep. I especially love my giraffe and elephant.
G for gratitude list. Life is not all negative. I can find small things to be thankful for, everyday: my support people at work, my therapist and my online community.

B = Bubble bath (how relaxing)
M = Music: Mark Vincent's tribute to Mario Lanza, especially Nessun Dorma; Aston Band's version of Adele's Someone Like You; Adele's 21
M = Massage, but not done by just anyone, the fellow I have been seeing regularly over the past 6 years is non-threatening and gentle and kind, also very discreet when I'm to roll over from my back to front. He always asks what it is that I need, and if any areas are out of bounds.
R = Reiki. One of my work colleagues performs this. I trust her completely.
W = Walking. If ever I feel overwhelmed I need to keep moving, and walking often soothes me.
