Something’s not right

I don't know how much longer I can last.

I don't know how much longer I can last.

I can't keep doing this. I wake up, go to work where I feel invisible and like I'm making it hard for everyone else. I go home where I sit by myself. I don't really have any friends. I am just making life hard for everyone else. I try to find reasons to keep going, and for ages the only thing keeping me going was that while I am completely miserable, my death would hurt others. But now I'm thinking that they'd be better off. I won't be wasting people's times. And I already feel dead.
I'm just bringing everyone down.

hehe i love interesting animals 😄

I have spiny leaf insects as pets, the kids love them. The female has been laying eggs lately but i've never got any to hatch. I dont think i keep it warm/humid enough...

I used to have an axoltyl but i lost him one night and never was sure what had happened, was fine the day before.

Re: I don't know how much longer I can last.

I had no idea that they give birth to live babies! Well, there you go, you learn something new every day eh?!

I guess they are kind of koala like - I believe baby koalas ride around on their mumma's back for sometime too

Haha @Former-Member

I think they're super cute! But beauty is in the eye - or possibly several eyes - of the beholder, depending on what creature we're talking about.

Re: I don't know how much longer I can last.

Haha I currently have a big male koala bellowing at everyone from his tree at the end of my driveway... not so cute at 3am... But I know I am lucky, I'm 15 minutes from Adelaide, and I have nature at my doorstep.
LJ, I have 6 different species of stick insect (including Spiny's) how are you keeping the eggs?? I keep mine in a takeaway container with a few small holes (or a big hole and some flywire) with paper towel on the bottom and spray every few days. Not too often in the cooler months. It can take up to 3 years depending on conditions!

...Guess everyone's worked out how I chose my screen name...

@Crazy_Bug_Lady Glad you are feeling a teensy bit better. Keep working with that coping box, and enjoy the fresh air and the work at the farm - I used to find that helped me a lot when I worked with horses on the weekends when I was in my twenties.

That is so fascinating about the baby scorpions! I wonder if @SCORPION knows about that? Speaking of whom - I haven't "seen" you around lately: how are you doing too? Quite a few of us seem to be bumping along a hard road or two at the moment.

Take care of you my friend, I think you are doing well. In spite of how you are feeling.

Hope for peace of mind endures...

Kindest regards,

Kristin

Hi scorpions and the rest of the insect world can teach us much about the meaning to life. I haven't been able to say much of late my thoughts way to dark and finding just existing hard. Just putting up with fools comments ie you look better all your pain must be gone. No I just found better ways to hide myself. We know not who we are we know not why we are we cant know anything but when we are.

Dearest @Crazy_Bug_Lady,

Thanks for always being honest on how you feel ....... Been reading these messages ...... Jeepers creepers how many people want to share experiences with crazy bugs, pets, koalas ..........

Anyways back to pets ....... Okay how are yours tonight ?

What do you think of birds in cages ?

One of my ....... Ahem ahem neighbours ........ A nice older man who I thought had one of those lives which involved his settee, television, kettle, coffee, milk, sugar and the horse racing radio station was showing me his budgie, Jack, yesterday. I almost melted in bouncy cuddle hearing him talking to his budgie ........ It was beautiful.

Usually I avoid him because got nothing to say but ....he had his budgie out in the centre park .. That was nice.
How old were you when you started gathering pets ?

Hi

Yes I know adout the parental care but beware once they have left the mothers back and grow a bit they will become prey as scorpions can be territorial also nature won't let over population of an area. Only humans think they are above natural balance of the World.

Insects can teach us lots if we are willing to just look and learn.

I haven't posted to much of late thoughts been just to dark but seem to be feeling better a bit even tolerance for the stupidity of comments ie you look better the pain must have gone? I have tried to explain to them it never will go its my life now l just hide it from you.

Hope everyone has been coping well in there ways. I now make sure I have one thing per month to look forward to an event or experience something or I spiral down.

Re: I don't know how much longer I can last.

Yay @SCORPION ! Good to 'see' you here. I separated all the littlies once they left mum, so they're all in individual containers, which is where feeding time can be a pain, getting one cricket into the container, making sure the scorp is interested/catching it (the crickets are close to the same size as them, don't want them getting hurt) then putting the lid on and moving onto the next one.
