The Highlight of Your Day thread

The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

Love Kermit, @Former-Member

Brings back so many good memories of my grandma and I chuckling over the Muppets....that show was a must-see for both of us.....I miss them both.

The highlight of my day today was taking the little people in to the city and letting them run wild through a beautiful garden in the perfect weather. I took so many lovely photos, none which I can share here (as much as I would love to) but I can share this amazing tree which I spent some time with

@Mazarita I caught your suggestion of botanical gardens just before I logged off this morning and that's what prompted this trip, thanks ❤

It was a day with lots of feel goods today ☺

Re: The Highlight of Your Day thread

Sounds like a lovely day @CheerBear.
Driving home this afternoon I spotted a litttle dog with collar and tag, trotting along confidently next to a busy road. When he turned into my street I stopped, got out and he let me pat him then ran away. I caught up with further down the street, picked him up and put him in my car. I called the numbers on the disc hanging from his collar then put him in my courtyard with a bowl of water and a dog bikkie.
The owners called back and promptly came to collect him, he lives a few streets away and regularly goes on adventures.
They were very appreciative. I felt like a useful member of society for a change...

Lovely tree @CheerBear, did you hug it?

Re: The Highlight of Your Day thread

That is beautiful and kind, @Catcakes

I know how quickly little dogs can run. My little moppet Gypsy (Jack Russell/ Maltese) has had one big outside adventure - she's 13 years old but can be halfway down the street in the twinkle of an eye, if allowed out - and I was sooooo grateful to the lady who found her and brought her back home. Three hours after Gypsy did a runner, I was wondering what I was going to tell hubby when he got home. How would I explain a missing dog?????

I would hope someone would do the same for me @NatalieS.
Also, it made me go out and get an I.D disc

Re: The Highlight of Your Day thread

Beautiful tree @NatalieS but it was in a bed of flowers so no hugging unfortunately. I caught plenty of good vibes from being around it though 😊

The highlight of my day today was sharing the nervous, excited, fun of a little experiencing a rollercoaster for the first (and then 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th...) time. Soooo much fun (and so tired now!)

Awesome, @CheerBear

Its simple things like nature and music that I find so uplifting.

Have a peaceful day.

Re: The Highlight of Your Day thread

The highlight of my day has been sitting outside and enjoying the cool change. Low 20 something is definitely more comfortable than 40 something (and maybe even cup of tea weather!)

Hoping that means better sleep tonight too 🙂
