The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

The highlight of today was losing a debate with a big little person (which always makes me proud!). It was put to me that the Christmas tree should go up today because we lost the same amount of days of having our own tree up in our own home last year, as there are days left until we should put the tree up this year. It was a pretty hard to argue against statement so now we have our sparkly shiny tree up before mid November 😛

I have a bit of a love/hate thing with December, but the tree falls on the love side and this year we get an extra 18 days to enjoy it (and to watch the cats think it's the best cat toy ever) 🙂

The highlight of my weekend was our Volunteers` outing last night 60 kms away , my mum and I went and had a lovely dinner and we went to the ABBA show as well , so we did not get home until 12-20am this morning

and then Mum and I went to Bingo this afternoon , i won 2 prizes and mum won 3 prizes and my aunty won 2 prizes

One prize was a meat tray and cooked some tonight for us , it was lovely

The days are super tricky around here at the moment. However, even on the trickiest of days I can always remember how wonderful it is that I don't live on Venus, and that can then be the highlight of my day.

So...unless you happen to live on Venus, I don't expect anyone to ever say there was NO highlight in their day.
