The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

My highlight is not quite as exciting, but I solved the mystery of the missing M&M! 😛
I was eating M&Ms (as one does), and accidentally dropped one but couldn't find it. Then I ate some more and dropped another. I managed to find one of them up my sleeve (clearly I need to reevaluate how Vorticons consume food!) but couldn't find the other. I wondered if I'd even dropped it at all and gave up looking. Just stood up - it was on my chair. LOL

Today's highlight was a giggle I had when I walked past our whiteboard and noticed some of the shopping list had been rewritten in an attempt at mirror writing.

I have a feeling a clown fish was behind this, as they often rearrange the whiteboard when I'm not looking, changing the lists to rainbow colours, leaving funny drawings on it, or writing silly notes. This was a new one today.

Not the highlight of today but tomorrow. We pick up our brand new car! We've got a nice one too (it's a colour called Lake Silver). I'm still nervous travelling in cars since the accident (more hypervigilant than anything), but I'll get there.

A highlight of yesterday was seeing a pair of pale-headed rosellas who came to visit my friend's backyard bird bath while I was visiting. I don't remember seeing this species of bird around this area before; not sure I've ever seen one ever before. Beautiful creatures.
