The Highlight of Your Day thread

The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

Woohoo @Mazarita! Well done pushing through that anxiety and crossing my fingers for you for a positive outcome 🙂

Thanks @CheerBear, glad you are here today, and hope you are feeling a bit better.

For when she comes on in the morning, I also want to let @Phoenix_Rising know that I am actually eating little caramel easter eggs as I'm writing. I might even have one more. I wonder if it works for bipolar too.

@Mazarita you have to eat HEAPS of Easter eggs to test whether chocolate is an effective treatment for bipolar - it's no good trying too low a "dose" of chocolate.

Hi @CheerBear @Mazarita and anyone else who might be interested.

The highlight of my day just happened. As I was putting away the shopping, I happened to notice that on the carton of woolworths long-life milk it says, Allergen advice: Contains milk.

Phew, I'm glad they warned me. I would never have thought to consider that the carton of milk contains milk. ROFL I will be giggling about that for the rest of the night, and probably most of tomorrow too. I'm glad I didn't see it while I was in the supermarket, otherwise I would have dissolved into giggles on the spot...like I did when I read the allergen warning on the can of tuna quite a while ago. Allergen advice: contains fish.

😂 @Phoenix_Rising - i enjoy your highlights almost as much as I enjoy mine. I wonder if packets of peanuts contain warnings that they may contain nuts?! I'm looking forward to my next supermarket trip a lot more now and can see myself spending way too long looking for funny labels!

Re: The Highlight of Your Day thread

@CheerBear yep, I have seen packets of nuts and also peanut butter that carries the warning it contains nuts. This is the sort of thing I find super funny. I genuinely do just dissolve into laughter in the middle of the aisle. Hang on, I just remembered a time when I burst out laughing in Bunnings...I just have to go and find the bottle...

I'm back. So this is a bottle of super toxic graffiti remover with POISON on it in giant letters. Well, in much smaller print under the heading of "safety directions" it says "Not for therapeutic use." I mean seriously, who the heck buys a bottle of graffiti remover for therapeutic use??? What the heck does that even mean??? The mind boggles at the possible therapeutic uses anyone might think to use a bottle of graffiti remover for!!!

😂 i love it @Phoenix_Rising. I'll be on a mission now to find a label that gives us both a giggle. I find that stuff almost too funny too!

@CheerBear It's a shame we can't go shopping together. As well as laughing at funny labels, I also have a habit of running the trolley super fast down the aisle to build momentum and then lifting my feet off the ground to ride it. If I came shopping with you and your LF, I would definitely give your LF super cool fun rides in the trolley. Hee hee, sometimes I think a moderator is going to come knocking on my door one day to check if I truly am 39 or whether I'm really about 10 years old.

😮 guess what? That is absolutely sometimes the only enjoyment I get out of shopping @Phoenix_Rising! I park in a big multilevel carpark sometimes and get so excited when it's empty because I know I can fly around on the trolley with more freely when there's no cars. I have a feeling shopping with you would be heaps of fun!

@Phoenix_Rising ok.. not to put a downer on your laughter... but maybe that has something to do with glue sniffers? I don't know.. just my mind trying to make sense of it. but hey.. what glue sniffer is going to read some tiny little print.. so no.. guess that's not a rational explanation either.
