The Highlight of Your Day thread

I'm not sure if this is going to sound as funny as it was at the time. It may be a you-had-to-be-there thing, but I'll tell the story anyway...

So...today I had to go to Bunnings for something. While I was there, I remembered that I need a new battery for my car key (you know, the little doovy-lacky that you press to open the car door). The batteries were located at the front of the tool section in Bunnings and I was standing there staring at the huge array and cursing myself for not having remembered I needed this battery and thus I hadn't unscrewed the doovy-lacky to see what size battery I needed. Well, then the man from the tool department came and asked me if I needed assistance. I explained my dilemma and then laughingly said "I don't suppose you have a screwdriver I could borrow, do you." He said...wait for it... "I know this is going to sound really stupid but I actually don't." Apparently all the tiny screwdrivers for undoing tiny screws were in sealed packets. So...there I was in the TOOL DEPARTMENT of BUNNINGS and they didn't have a screwdriver I could borrow. Well, I did what any perfectly normal and reasonable person would do in this situation; I just looked at the man and then dissolved into giggles...and now I keep giggling every time I think of it. So yep, that was definitely the highlight of my day.

Highlight of today was my companion arriving home from work. As is the case on so many days, my heart warmed seeing him walk through the door.

The highlight of my day today was that I found a half-price triple chocolate cheesecake in Woolworths. I would never pay full price for one but wow, who could resist a half-price triple chocolate cheesecake!!!!!! I am super excited about it. Alas, I fear I will be joining @CherryBomb in looking like an Oompa Loompa by this time next week...but methinks it will be worth it!!!! When I was cracking open the packaging of the cake tonight, I giggled at the slogan on the side "best served with friends." Yeah, right, best eaten all by one's self more like it!!! I also giggled that it says it serves 10. Er...I'm hoping to get four serves out of it.

Half price triple chocolate cheesecake sounds like a suitable easter treat!

Highlight today here was visiting a friend this evening for take away dinner and just hanging out with two people I love.

sorry I dropped out again, had a few struggles just for something completely different.

highlight of today was coming to conclusion that I felt tired and down and to stop beating myself up and accept it was a bed day....AGAIN.

The highlight has come because I don't feel quite so bad now and am about to take dog across to the park and gather some food for tea ( ok take a frozen dinner out the freezer)

other highlight is I have the house to myself for tonight. All baby dragons gone for the night. It's soooo peaceful.
