The array of problems

The array of problems

Well hi there everybody. I was just looking for people who may be able to help with some tricky stuff im faced with. -here's the life I got... -there's the life I want... and there is a whole lot of technical, physical, mental or emotional issues between the two.

I have struggled with mental problems for a very long time. And I think the gravity of the story and reality of my situation. Induces shock and trauma. And has to sink in over again each day. -But there is apart of me. That weighs things up and desires a better life and to help myself.

Now, if I could...I'd magically employ myself in a good career. And change everything around. But I can't! -so im more or less stuck with very limited options. Reoccurring problems. In the same circumstances. -which gets me down and becomes tiring...

And im tired of feeling like I do.

Im aware of what they say helps and what doesn't. -its just really hard to put into place and follow through with everything.

Re: The array of problems

Musical imaginations are usually sensitive, but auditory hallucinations might be different from audiation, but probably not that different.

I dont buy into the 90 or 99% stuff. My mind is not that dark and my lived reality as documented in births, deaths & marriages has been worse than my mind could have imagined ... so ... I think it is BS .. I prefer peer reviewed journals to .. pop psych. I also did math & science so view stats airily proclaimed with a lot of salt.

I started playing djembe as I found it lovely to be able to enter a group music experience without all the stress and neck strain involved playing piano. I could get into simpler left-right mind body actions. It felt remarkably calming and grounding playing a tent in the bush etc ...finding a tribe.

I prefer classical, baroque, romantic etc, but also am a firmly ground roots based person, not just blues & jazz.

Definitely need tactics to snap out of negative mental spirals.

Births, deaths and marriages @Appleblossom -one of my siblings was murdered about 13 years ago. (I have 3 siblings) and only 2-3 years ago. I got a new birth certificate that said there was 4 living siblings. (That's a bit of a blunder from the system.) -it makes me question if he just disappeared.

But I'm hearing ya. -I believe that all mental health problems are anxiety based. And always involve other people in the scenario. Be it through our imagination which is based on real life experiences. Or our own personal experiences when we're completely "alone" fears are purely derived from others.

The nature and essence of mental health issues "problems" can also work in reveres. But if they go to far in reverse. Other problems will occur in return. -so I suppose you could say we live in a cut throat society. Where everyone is only concerned about their own needs, wants and wellbeing. And even if someone is helping, supporting or caring for someone else. It is still their own best interests they have at heart. -kind of like picking a flower or a piece if fruit. -it's sad.

But if you ain't got any thing to offer anybody in life. What have got? -you've got the human. And you've got the grading process.

It's not about what the world can offer you. It's about what you can offer the world.

Sorry if I'm coming across as prude

Hi @Former-Member

Doing better overall thanks. Sorry to hear you have been poorly.

This is mighty interesting what you said about your family. My Mother said something not so different to me not so long ago (when she lived in my unit) and I was floored. I had some suspicions that my ex may have been Narcissistic but never considered my parents. But it would figure as both grandmothers were always spoken of as being "controllers". Doing a bit of reading does suggest that while my parents were never bad in an overt sense, maybe, just maybe it was what they are calling a Narcissistic Family as I certainly see the signs in myself (and brothers). Thank you for the tip.

🙂

Re: The array of problems

Yes I'm good thanks @Suess and hello again @Fiz hope you've both had a reasonable day and things get better for you both.

Can relate to what you wrote Seuss. And maybe a nice veggie bake and some steak might lift your spirits. And ice cream. With some couch time haha. Might do the trick. -socializing is tricky because quite often it gets glitchy and complicated if you think about it twice. (I sometimes leave hints I want to catch up with people after a break and breather from people) good company is hard to find. And there is definitely a before, during and after effect they'll leave you with. What can I say. I ain't that popular. But hate loneliness.

Too all on this thread. Sorry if my writing has been over the top or out of line. -I get a bit giddy when there's an opportunity to write to people. And express myself. -I've studied egotism and altruism briefly and I kind of get it. And it's helpful to know what both sides (opposites) do. Much to be said for both. And psychological traits behind either. Could be something for yous to look into.

Maybe some meditation and very kind, caring and helpful internal self talk may also help Seuss. Just silence and yourself is sometimes the best medicine. Refocus some energy.

Alright gotta go. Thinking bout pancakes, golden syrup and cream. What is happening for the rest of the week Seuss and Fiz?

Re: The array of problems

Mmm pancakes.

Just had a call from Mother (said in best Bates Motel voice). It's ok I'm not to worry but...

I hate those calls as really there is nothing wrong that has anything to do with either of us. However, it has to be raked over and made into a drama so she feels in control of us all (brothers & sister in law). At least I am learning not to engage so that helps some.

I had a headache but now I feel worse

That and the piece of music I am working on feels like it isn't working out. Probably my fault as it is too early to start a new project (but I don't have anything else on).

Sorry to whine. But thanks for reading anyway - so yes @eudemonismI know how it feels to have the opportunity to share without feeling too worried about judgment or other games.

🙂

Re: The array of problems

Hi @Former-Member

Sorry to see your frustration. I hope you can get through that. More I won't say unless you ask me directly (as in part I seem poor at sympathy).

Thanks for the prompt on the video. I think he has a wonderful point there which meshes with Jung's opinion that being crazy is a sane reaction to something you don't know how to deal with. The brain keep tries new methods till it finds one that works.

Lucky I don't have voices but I must admit that I don't feel great towards my Mother a lot of the time. I often feel bad about that and as far as I am aware, one of my Brothers is the only person I can even approach with that subject as he has been on the receiving end too.

It was truly great that the therapist was so honest and that allowed that woman to accept that her feelings toward her mother were understandable.

🙂

Re: The array of problems

Compassion overrides clinical techniques says a lot I suppose. -sorry for offending you. Definitely didn't mean too. -I was experiencing and uplifting moment of euphoria which I think came through in my writing. (Was on a high) and in writing mode. -goes to show we're all different and come from our own prospective.

I'm sorry to hear you we're having a bad day and experiencing a mental health crisis. (Which you was clawing your way back from) -it could of been me. And I know what they're like. (But forget about when "I'm well" -I was actually thinking you'd come good and things will get better. (The storm will blow over type of thing) how are you going now?

And in reply to your question. Yeah I've experienced a lot of it... from many different people... and from my experience -it's great to have people to rely on... but ultimately if anyone is going to have the answers or best source of help. It maybe has to come from within. I have learnt what to expect from people. (Whomever they may be) like turning turning on the news. What do you expect when you turn on the news? A fairytale?

Even if I did write to you in a way that met the criteria of what your last message depicts. It would of been a self serving trait. And I have been told to watch people who tickle your ears. Can you see sense in that?
