The array of problems

The array of problems

Well hi there everybody. I was just looking for people who may be able to help with some tricky stuff im faced with. -here's the life I got... -there's the life I want... and there is a whole lot of technical, physical, mental or emotional issues between the two.

I have struggled with mental problems for a very long time. And I think the gravity of the story and reality of my situation. Induces shock and trauma. And has to sink in over again each day. -But there is apart of me. That weighs things up and desires a better life and to help myself.

Now, if I could...I'd magically employ myself in a good career. And change everything around. But I can't! -so im more or less stuck with very limited options. Reoccurring problems. In the same circumstances. -which gets me down and becomes tiring...

And im tired of feeling like I do.

Im aware of what they say helps and what doesn't. -its just really hard to put into place and follow through with everything.

Re: The array of problems

No and no.

I'm sure that if I wanted I could find a Dr who wanted to give me pills. But I don't want that. One Dr did once refer me to a psychiatrist but he refused to say why he thought it was a good idea. So, of course, I didn't see the point if there was no good reason. That and my then partner wasn't keen on the idea - I guess it challenged her too.

🙂

Re: The array of problems

Maybe your not that bad after all... or maybe this sane thing is based around connecting people with diagnosis and who take medication with volunteers or mh professionals just on a different format that is easy to keep a record of. Or you're just someone who connects with others who have mental health issues because of your own experiences with mental health problems ???

Yeah @Former-Member sounds like a terrible battle you've been through. And what you've mentioned must be a very complicated situation to deal with. -awaiting sleep and sleeping is the very best feeling I get out of each day. Not sure what that means. But the rest of the day is not that great. It's tough.

I might have to sleep on it before I reply in full. But that's a very Interesting piece of writing which covers quite a bit if ground. (There's a lot I can relate to in there) -I have a diagnosis of schizophrenia. But when you're dealing with mental health problems. There's w broad variety if symptoms happening at any one time. -symptoms which conquer with many names of different conditions. -but yea now u reflect back on my life. I can see there was big problems developing from young childhood.

Re: The array of problems

Yeah I have family and a few supportive people. And I've found its more a case of knowing people who you have things in common with then any thing else. Sort of blending with the crowd and so on. -now you take into account that I'm on a specific type of medication that not the average person takes. And it defines my social group... so the medication on its own alienates me. And makes me different. And then gives me side effects which isolate and seclude me from the general population.

I have family. But it's not what it seems. It's always me making the effort to catch up with them. And I am lucky to get one percent of the effort in return. But probably more judgment in return. And I can't really do any thing about it.

The essence of my mental health problems have always involved others. (Even if it's just in my mind and perceived and derived from real life. (And there's an element of small town syndrome as well)

Same stuff different day says a lot for my situation. -it's basically like the mhs has tried to recruit me and initiate me. And turn me into the message they are putting out there. And it just hasn't worked for me...

Does that put some things into prospective?

I got dreams, ambitions and goals. (Some of which may be unrealistic) and it's all revolved around eliminating suffering, making my life comfortable and getting what I want out of life. And it's all rather ironic when I think about it.

My belief on medication. Is that once you've been on a type of medication for so long. It will make you a certain way which is seen as acceptable. And approved of bye the mhs and is called well managed. But it turns out to be not much better then the mental health problems themselves. And is basically a form of condemnation.

@eudemonism

This one "Or you're just someone who connects with others who have mental health issues because of your own experiences with mental health problems ???"

I do have some sort of depression thing and I am self-diagnosed as mild Aspergers.

Like @Former-Member I am not very good at making friends. As the years have gone by the social circles I had have evaporated and while people are mostly friendly towards me, nothing ever progresses past that. My attempts to do so in the last few years haven't gone well. I guess it is "not my time".

I do go to a dancing class and that has been nice and the ladies there are chatty and happy to have me to dance with. Tonight I have to skip dancing to go to a family birthday party. Can't say I am looking forward to it as I feel that in those sorts of situation, I have nothing in common with others. When I speak people seem to turn away. Basically, I seem too serious.
