This morning I had yodelling butcherbird, currawong and magpie! All at once! In our big gumtree.

Hehe love the link to Sesame Street 🤣. So cool you heard all those birds, I love spring for that reason. No better yet, could take awhile to get out of the black hole once in this deep. I have slept since Monday day and night managing to be awake for a couple of hours. I have managed to stay undetected, so nobody realises. Being good at that game I should not be proud of but it’s better than people realising I guess. How’s things for you, I read you mentioned our gum tree do you live with someone 😊

@Chasingsunsets sorry to hear that - hope you're finding sleep restorative - sometimes we need support rather than hiding away - do any of your friends or team know you're going through a bad patch?

I have a unit with some private and some shared garden. The big gumtree is on the common property and so far my nextdoor neighbour and I have successfully resisted suggestions to cut it down.

It’s okay @Dimity not to worry, I don’t know how someone can sleep this much tbh 😜. Yeah I get that just prefer to deal with it myself, always been like this. Letting people in feels unsafe tbh, always felt like this too. I know, it’s not the normal way to go about things 🤪. Indi has been good she has a sore eye treating it and something up with her ear so just watching both.

My sleep is all over the place atm, but I'm getting enough in total. Just not at the proper times. Never mind.

I don't know many neighbours unfortunately. And the nearest community centres are some distance away. I need to build my social capital I guess.

Are you ok for groceries and supplies? When we're low it's easy to run short. I used to have a good reserve of stuff for Tiger. I passed it onto a cat shelter.

Yeah @Dimity its annoying, I think it was an old sore that she’s knocked and so think there is a small collection I want to wrap cotton around it and seal it off but I don’t like dogs ears, they are very vascular 🙃. Are cats ears the same? Gah grass seeds are a pain in the butt and so are ticks. I’m glad the area I’m in now doesn’t have many but still give her a chew thing for fleas and ticks. In other places I have lived the ticks are horrendous but glad I’ve not lived near the paralysis ticks.

Has your sleep always been playing up? Remind me were we chatting about the rc or was that someone else?

it’s ok I know one of my neighbours and know of the other just not keen on how he treats his dog so choose not to engage.

I’m ok with groceries, I seem to stock up when better. so then just live out my cupboard/ freezer on my bad times. My favourite at the moment has just been frozen chips in the air fryer, think I’ll turn into a French fry soon 🤣🤭. Indi is ok a lot of her food in the freezer, I defrost her paddies when we are low, she loves sardines too 🤣.

How have you been tracking today? On a scale of rubber ducks how many should I send you 🐥🫶. Wish I could send sounds on here Indi is snoring beside me lol

As a kid I lived in a paralysis tick area. Quite a worry for pets.

Not sure what rc is, perhaps it was someone else. Not sleeping is a red flag for me mh-wise. I'm ok, I'll get by.

Had to laugh at some of the wikipedia description of spangled drongos. They sound like interesting characters. Are they migratory? It wasn't clear.

Yes cats ears are vascular and sensitive too and can get sunburnt. I had to get Tiger a soft elizabethan collar a couple of weeks before I lost him ss he'd scratched himself raw. @Chasingsunsets

Yeah at least someone is getting some good sleep here @Dimity 🐶. I don’t plan to be well organised for these moments but normally I’m stocked as I generally forget what I have a home so end up with more of stuff I have 🤪🙈. Ah well it works for these times I guess.

oh yes I would be stressed out of my mind with those kind of ticks not sure how pet owners manage but there are some really good things these days and a S Collar seems the gold standard plus chews I’d say.

yeah I am going to have to watch both with 🐶 and if it gets bigger or eye isn’t improved then back to the vets and no doubt a collar for the ear just like your little man had.

yeah I know what you mean about flags, interesting when they come up, seen a couple of mine but just got to keep on keeping on hey. Who do you have in your team? Do they know you aren’t feeling the best atm?
