Hi @EternalFlower I'll answer before bed.

I think your expectations of support workers are understandable and quite appropriate, and articulating them invites the right people to reach out to you.

Glad you're finding things that help with tge nausea and insomnia.

I think I'd like to meet the kittens and interact with them, to judge their personalities. Just about all my cats came to me from other people. Most of them were adult.

I'm trying to pull out of depression and get back on track. I'm going to a family birthday tomorrow. Today was OK I guess, just chores but it grounds me.

Good night, hope you sleep well and have a reasonable day tomorrow.

Re: Locked out/in

@Dimity was family time not too bad?

was that Sunday, or today? My days are warped

Glad the chores were grounding, I fully know what you mean. some days its my biggest goals and accomplishment, keeping things above water domestically.

Trauma program have said their bit and said they're looking forward to seeing me 1 week from today. In person. In the morning.

Feels like forever.

The nausea is worse and worse. The tablets help just the tiniest bit. I am so sleepy and depressed from it.

I hope you're enjoying your clean space @Dimity with all the chores sorted

Hugs 🫂 @EternalFlower

Sleepiness and nausea would be hard to deal with. Glad you've lined up the therapy team.

I guess the family time was good in parts thanks. Unfortunately I seem hard-wired to catastrophise and feel rejected - and multiply that by 100 for my psychology session today.

I think the grounding by domestic chores is experiential and in the moment - a type of mindfulness. The slight improvement in the chaos doesn't last long so it's never finished. For me it's important to persevere - to keep trying again.

If you're unwell and not sleeping probably your diet has changed too. It can make a big difference. Perhaps you've never quite got back on track since your hospitalisation and air bnb experience. I hope you can catch up with your gp.

Hi @EternalFlower hope you're feeling better.

I saw in another thread you said there isn't moderation any more - did someone confirm that? I've been flagging posts and sent feedback and in the answer they seemed to be saying there's still some moderation but it's not a priority...

Re: Locked out/in

I’m not seeing much @Dimity its very random and sporadic. Have been doing the same and often don’t even get a response/acknowledgment. So I just don’t bother anymore. I’d be interested in why it’s not a priority anymore… what is a priority?

Re: Locked out/in

@Bow they just seem to be stepping back from the forums space and saying they're no longer taking responsibility for it. That guidelines are a matter of interpretation (so moderators are free to ignore them now) and staff won't engage online as they'll only facilitate but not direct discussions.

Once upon a time the policy seemed to be geared towards being responsive and building community.

I've been shocked by the shambles around naming and reviewing mental health practitioners and services in the last few days. I want to give a shout out to @EternalFlower for calling it out.

@Jynx @tyme it's upsetting.

Re: Locked out/in

That’s actually really sad.,,, and really concerning @Dimity That they no longer take responsibility for it. I can totally see the forums closing down. If they aren’t taking responsibility for it, who has the duty of care? They can’t leave a bunch of mentally unwell people to basically do what they want on a forum like that. If they don’t close, some other body will step in and do it. Hope they give us some warning.

i musta missed the last bit about naming people.

Re: Locked out/in

Oh yep I seen that post actually @Dimity I have seen similar things happen where something is ok with one mod and then not by another and you have to question the guidelines.

i 100% thought that naming ANY service was a no no, especially a therapist you have been to because it goes against the anonymous rule. But now that’s a grey area????

Gosh

Re: Locked out/in

The beginning of last year… March possible, sane was given a $27.3m grant to expand their digital services. Why does it feel like they have done the complete opposite???

Re: Locked out/in

hi @Dimity i think i was going off what lovely flutterbug (don't want to tag them to trigger them) said that this is a peer space so we moderate it - but i ahve no more facts that anyone.

I'm still here for everyone 🙂
