@Blackcloud my niece doesn't have much furniture yet, and my mum is a hoarder, so it is lovely having so much room to move around it when I go there. Her place is only 15 minutes away. She has given me a key so I can go there and shower even when she is not home.

I think of her place as a little retreat. Plus, she has three cats, so that makes it even better.

My mum has a dealer next door, and occasionally they come to her front door, continually knocking until my slow-moving mum gets to the door. Someone has tried to break in by damaging the screen door to gain access. But luckily, they didn't get in. In her area they are knocking down all the housing trust homes, and currently, there are vacant blocks everywhere. And my mum is getting hounded by real estate agents saying that there are people wanting to buy her property. She is on a massive block of land which is about 15 mins from the city. They only want the land, as the house is starting to fall apart. My mum is nearly 86 and she said they could offer her a million dollars, and she will not put herself through having to move at her age.

oh wow that is so messed up regarding the situation with the dealer & that poor woman has to go through all of that, especially at 86 😕 so terrible!

That’s crazy that they’re doing that, like why gotta treat all the tenants as if they don’t deserve a home ?? That’s something that I’ll never understand & why is it that the real estate agents always make such decisions by wanting to vacate their current or long term residents out when these residents themselves haven’t chose whether or not they wanna renew their lease there.. I’ve read that in private rentals it’s the real estate agents that gets to decide if the tenant can stay or if they need to move out & that’s the number one thing that I’m scared and worried about when living in a private rental, and I’ve never lived in a private rental before.

Its been pretty good. I got a dog today and she is so cute, still coming up with a name though, any ideas?

Welcome to the forum @Icecream You do realise that every time I see your username, I am going to want to eat ice cream now. Lol 😂🤣 That just happens to be one of my weaknesses, especially when I cover it with milo.

@creative_writer yeah getting started can be the hardest part sometimes. Remember that if you can read one paragraph or just write one sentence (even a very crappy one) it might help kickstart something.... even if it kickstarts it tomorrow!
