I was having a look through the apartment (like private rental) listings on a couple different real estate websites & was looking at mostly the ones where their weekly rent currently meets my fortnightly income.
I was kinda interested in having a look through these listings available in case if I’d like to move to a private rental at anytime soon, whether or not.
But I don’t think that’d be the case & it’s very likely that I’ll be renewing my current lease, to which hopefully I can stay in this student accomodation for much longer anyway.
It’s just that the rent price goes up a bit every year… which was why I had to leave the previous student accomodation I was at until June last year.
ive noticed that the much cheaper ones (the ones that range from $240/250-300 a week) are mostly just houses 🏠 that seem to be located in a few of the metro and regional areas, which is definitely NOT what I want, as I know that living in an apartment is much safer, so it’s not worth the risk.
it sucks how much we all have to go through this rental/housing crisis.
even though I’m currently on the waiting list for public/social housing, I’m currently worried/concerned about potentially living in public/social housing because of the amount of drug affected & just overall some not-so-nice people that live in these units.
