Re: My silent battles
I remembered that I took some screenshots of the new patient form/intake firm. I found I also took screenshots of couple of pages on info that was part of the form. Form was completed online and not able to be accessed by me after I submitted it.
@MissGremlin in the info pages I found it says Telehealth to be done using the program they use. Info also says I will receive reminders of appointments via text and email.
Appointment was booked in early Feb and confirmed by email on that same day. Since then there has been no appointment reminders sent. Not a comforting feeling. Definitely glad I sent the email now

Re: My silent battles
@Flutterbug9 I'm glad you were able to find out that they do telehealth using the program that they do. But that's definitely not very comforting that there's been no communication since the appointment was booked. Maybe you'll hear from them tomorrow or Friday. Sometimes the notification reminders are automatic so may even come on Saturday or Sunday.

@Flutterbug9 i think being emotion centred, having a good access to their own emotions, and asking about yours, is very important 🙂 she sounds lovely (therapist). thinking of u

Re: My silent battles
@Flutterbug9 that would stress me out a lot
i just had a telehealth in public and my psychologist sent me a link a week before, and time was confirmed in text. I would be stressed if i didn't know and it was booked in feb. Just validating you, as I go through it too.
I am so anxious-attached, i'd call the clinic 5 times to check lol. Don't do that. Wouldn't recommend. But def good to know before!!

Re: My silent battles
@EternalFlower @MissGremlin People who only see the masked me say I come across as someone who needs to be in control.
in reality, if I don’t know exactly what, when, where etc I become anxious and, depending on circumstances, have panic attacks
the clinic has a phone number listed but all their info says the clinic is not able to be contacted by phone.
Questionaires Ive done for my psychologist within last couple days have indicated current high levels of stress (no surprise there), possibly ADHD and Autism, very high numbers with masking (not totally surprising to me).
thing that feels strange to me and isn’t sitting comfortable is, within the program the psychiatrist uses there is nothing showing for appointments or name of my psychiatrist. Might be the way they do thing. Idk. I just know if feels strange

Re: My silent battles
@Flutterbug9 i completely understand that need for knowing what's going on otherwise it brings about anxiety and panic attacks. You're not alone there sweetheart, it's tough when others don't understand it.
I'm glad the clinic finally emailed with the link and an apology too. I'm really hoping the appointment on Monday goes well for you sweet. Sending love and hugs ❤️.

I need to vent - feeling hurt
Approx 10 calendar days ago I asked someone who lives near me if she could drive me to and from hospital next Tuesday. Answer was definitely can drive me in the morning, couldn’t do the afternoon driving.
Few minutes ago this person has let me know that today her daughter needs to be driven to appointment at different hospital on Tuesday morning and unless I need to be dropped off by 9am on Tuesday, that she can’t take me.
I have no one else who can take me
i understand family comes first. My trust in people is already on shaken ground, this hasn’t helped

hi @Flutterbug9
so great to hear some updates from you 😊 I haven't been able to get online as I couldn't log onto my account for almost a week since the new login system has launched here. The I.T team has fixed it today and so now I can get back on and reply 🥳
sounds like your session with your current psych is going pretty well xx
I'm gonna have a session with my current ND counsellor/therapist next Tuesday. During my last session with them though, there were a few things that they said that threw me off a bit during the moment (it could be my RSD playing up lol) and so it made me wonder if receiving counselling/therapy from a counsellor would still be worth getting for me compared to receiving therapy from an ND psychologist.
I've been going ok overall over the past couple of weeks and so on. Yesterday I had an exam which was an open-book exam and I think that went quite well. Ever since winter has started, I've been starting to lose a bit of motivation/capacity to be able to cook, I do get support from my mum for meals and through meal deliveries but still trying to find out if theres a way I can get my way through having the capacity to cook my own meals during this cold season.
