Re: My silent battles
@AlwaysMyself There have been a lot of things that have happened during the last few months that I can’t and won’t go into detail about on the forums. Only thing I can say is, from the top down within sane, (plus things outside sane) I’ve been left feeling unsupported, unheard, that I don’t matter and that things I’m trying to deal with aren’t important
would I like to talk about my comment about things going sour etc? No thanks
Im hoping that either the trial or after the trial is finished that you can get some medical assistance with meds that can provide sone help. Hoping that the forums continue you to provide you are outlet in which to talk and unload things

Thanks for idea @hopeful_hannah
@due to having been left unsupported and not listened to by staff in that section each and every time I’ve contacted them, I refuse to have anything to do with complaints team. Too many times I’ve politely replied to email from complaints wanting to discuss their reply with following email to me have been far from polite

Hi @Flutterbug9 ,
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I'm sorry that you feel frustrated and reluctant to engage further with the complaints process. Re: My silent battles
Hi @EternalFlower
thought I would bring the chat about cats over here.
due to being on my own plus my physical health, I decided to adopted 2 cats at same time.
I became aware of pet rescue website from when I worked as a volunteer with a Street and Stray Cat Rescue group.
the website allows to search to be as wide or narrow as preferred. As I wanted 2, I searched for bonded cats/kittens within distance that suited me.
as soon as I saw a photo I made an enquiry, that led me to spending a few hours at the home of the foster parents, discussing the kittens etc
I live in a 2 bedroom unit where the cats have never wanted to get outdoors, until they spend time at the cattery. When I’ve got money saved I’ll be paying to have final step done to fully enclose my outdoor tiled area
best of luck with your searching.

Hi @Flutterbug9 how did u go once u got ur kittens? Have they been a good addition to ur home?
Thanks for ur comments re the balcony. Its very reassuring.
My aunt steessed me out that i dont have an eclosed area currently for them. I have an outdoor area but its not fenced in. Im not too worried. Cats learn where home is and stay there.

Re: My silent battles
@EternalFlower I did the ‘meet and greet’ when they were approx 3 mths old. Due to them being undersized and underweight, they were not cleared by a vet until they were approx 4 mths old which is when I adopted them and brought them home.
didnt take them long that first evening to settle in and start playing.
they turned 6yo in March this year and are great company. In their own ways, both show they know when I’m not well. Years ago my late husband and I took care of my FILs elderly cat for few weeks. Took her a few days to feel comfortable, after that people would have thought she lived their always.
My female is black tortie (she is mainly black with white patches. She has 2 gold spots, one on her forehead and other on her tummy. My male is white with ginger tabby markings. Both short haired)
Are you thinking of getting kitten, young adult cat etc. do have preference for length/type of coat? Colour preference?

Re: My silent battles
Something I remembered this morning about having had indoor only cats that might help ease your mind @EternalFlower
it’s decades since any of the cats I’ve had have gone outside. During those years, all the cats I’ve had have never looked to go outside either. They grew up knowing their space was indoors only.
lot of cats enjoy smelling the outdoors. Both my front door and rear door have screen doors. My front door faces the street, my 2 enjoy laying in the sunshine plus watching everything and everyone who goes by.
some pet food and accessory stores sell an type of shelf that is fastened to a window and allows cat to lay in the window
please don’t let people put you off getting a furry companion based on particulars of where you live 😻

Re: My silent battles
@EternalFlower @Blackcloud @Cuddlebear
psychologist appointment this morning which has left me leaving mentally exhausted, in a good way.
appointment started on time and finished approx 2hrs later, more than double our normal appointment.
each time I said something my psychologist asked for clarification or wanted to know more.
we talked about lots of different things which psychologist said has given her best understanding of me so far.
first time I remember having an exhausting but great, 2 way conversation with MH specialist
Ultrasound and X-rays this Thursday. Initial psychiatrist appointment on Monday, day procedure as part of pain reduction in hospital on Tuesday.
how is everyone going? What’s happening for everyone? Looking forward to hearing about your new family member @EternalFlower after you have found the cat/kitten you adopted 😺
