Cuddlebears Space

Cuddlebears Space

Hello everyone I’ve made a space here.

I’ve been having a really rough time. I have experienced a lot of trauma and abuse since childhood. I’ve been on forums for a while now and thought to start a thread so that my journey and anyone that cares to see how I’m going and offer support or advice can find me here.

I have complex ptsd, anxiety and severe depression with anhedonia. I’m currently tapering antidepressant and it’s been brutal.

I am really struggling everyday and can’t find ways to feel better. I’ve tried so many things.

I am having daily panic attacks, my body shutdown and I am so lonely with very little support. There’s a real heavy darkness around me I feel so unloved and worthless. I can’t do basic things like shower, eat, clean and going out is very very hard. I have no purpose or meaning though I try to create it but nothing works.

More recently I’ve experienced passive SI and sometimes more active. The tapering I believe has caused these symptoms. I’m safe.

Im finding it hard to write this all up. I hope it gives you some insight. @MissGremlin @AlwaysMyself@Chasingsunsets

@NightFury Hello my friend. How are you feeling today? I’m really glad you took a rest / self care day yesterday. Take as many as you need.

What does rest and relaxation look like for you?

Hi @Cuddlebear

I am feeling pretty tired this arvo. I took my two and a half year old niece to the pool this morning.

For me rest and relaxation looks like taking a coffee and my book back to bed of a morning, kicking back reading a good book, with Luna at my feet and no need to rush or to hurry my start to the day.

How are you?

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@NightFury Hello lovely how are you? Are you taking some more rest time? That’s awesome having a coffee in bed with a book to read and Luna there. Thwt feeling of not being rushed is wonderful.

I havnt improved much. I’m feeling very alone and emotional. Nothing I try seems to be of help. I can’t seem to find any joy and it’s a hard way to be each day.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

Hi @Cuddlebear I'm not really having a rest day, no. I've spent three or so hours working on an assignment for my Masters in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I have my first online seminar tonight for the Mental Health in Schools course which started this week. So, I'm just plugging along on the study today and trying to get my washing under some sort of control.

I hear you, I see you and I'm sorry that you're struggling with a sense of hopelessness and a lack of joy. I can relate to the lack of joy, to feeling alone, and to the emotional-ness of it all. It's a really hard place to be.

Hi @Cuddlebear

Im sorry you are unwell. I hope being on here helps bring some connection. Something to focus on.

What have you been doing with your days? Only if you want to answer.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 Hello lovely how are you doing? What have you been upto?

I have found it difficult to do anything in the way I am feeling. I have been home and pretty isolated really. I have no motivation and I feel frozen while also feeling panic. Brain goes a hundred miles an hour with worries. None of the things that seem to help other people are working for me. It’s frustrating and lonely and I’m worried I’ll be stuck like this forever.

Yesterday I had a biopsy on a mole on my arm. It wasn’t much fun and results in 7-10 days.

@NightFury Hello my friend. How are you? Thank you for checking in.

What an awesome choice in Masters Degree. How long is the course? It sounds like an awesome course to be honest.

Yes it’s very hard living with hopelessness and lack of joy. I can’t even do basic things and am isolated. Hard place to be. I’m safe but really tired from being like this.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

Hey @Cuddlebear

Im actually have an okish day. It’s not great but better than it has been in a while.

Thats a hard place to be in. The constant loop and isolation. I isolate myself a lot and understand how that feels. For me I isolate deliberately but then despise myself for the fact that I’m isolated. That in itself is a loop.

Is there any worries that you want to get out? Or is it just a cycle?

Do you know what… at least you are trying what helps others. It’s a matter of finding what works for you but at times there is nothing that feels like it helps and I get that.

Everyine always says it will get better but it doesn’t feel like it will, it feels like you will be this way for ever. We can only hold a tiny little bit of hope that others are right even though there feels like there is no hope. It’s so hard. I really feel for you.

Are you anxious about the mole getting tested? I’ve had a few done.
