Something’s not right

Cuddlebears Space

Cuddlebears Space

Hello everyone I’ve made a space here.

I’ve been having a really rough time. I have experienced a lot of trauma and abuse since childhood. I’ve been on forums for a while now and thought to start a thread so that my journey and anyone that cares to see how I’m going and offer support or advice can find me here.

I have complex ptsd, anxiety and severe depression with anhedonia. I’m currently tapering antidepressant and it’s been brutal.

I am really struggling everyday and can’t find ways to feel better. I’ve tried so many things.

I am having daily panic attacks, my body shutdown and I am so lonely with very little support. There’s a real heavy darkness around me I feel so unloved and worthless. I can’t do basic things like shower, eat, clean and going out is very very hard. I have no purpose or meaning though I try to create it but nothing works.

More recently I’ve experienced passive SI and sometimes more active. The tapering I believe has caused these symptoms. I’m safe.

Im finding it hard to write this all up. I hope it gives you some insight. @MissGremlin @AlwaysMyself@Chasingsunsets

@Captain24 You know it really sounds like you have a really good fit with psychologist. I love how they let you message too not many allow thwt. It really shows they care. I like that analogy of cyclone Tracy. I get that. I find it easier to understand what a person is feeling. You know my personal opinion is that police are totally not the people to be doing a “welfare check”. They have no skills and can & do have caused a lot of harm. Masking is something many of us do well. It’s exhausting. I’ve read some horrible situations in the media. I’m glad they just let you stay home so you could go to work but I imagine they didn’t make you feel good at all. :(

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 It is hard to get through passive or active SI. Due to involuntary treatments that can harm many of us mask. Especially within an unsafe environment like police, CATT team & ED. You want help but you want and need body autonomy too. There’s medicines that can really harm people and tapering off can be brutal like being in hell on fire with nothing for relief. I’m on meds & going through a taper. I’m not anti meds just know that it’s like playing Russian roulette cause you don’t know how they will affect you or how they will interact with medicines for other medical conditions.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 Yeah I don’t have anyone close by at all. I havnt even showered for a couple weeks. I did make a sandwitch yesterday which was like climbing Mount Everest but I did it. Analogy again! I am trying to tell myself to shower and remind myself how nice it feels once I’ve had one. I’m really struggling to do basic things for myself yet I can do everything my fur baby needs. Yes I could try make something easy for me as a treat and maybe have a shower.

I know the Russian roulette well @Cuddlebear. I know the rest of above too.

awesome Dimond art @Captain24, they are really impressive! So much detail in them! Think they would take me a million years to do @MissGremlin would likely say this too 🤣🤣🙊. So so cool!! Thanks for sharing! Hi auntglow good to see you around too, won’t tag you as know you would be super busy, I hope you are having a good day, thinking of you.

@AuntGlow It is so good to see you here tonight. how are you? It’s been a real tough time. It’s like being in a tsunami and I can’t do anything basic even shower as I was saying in a previous post. The anhedonia, panic, anxiety, trauma flashbacks have caused my nervous system into disarray. I’ve had no relief whatsoever for almost a year and I’m safe bht exhausted from this battle.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

The site I use does custom ones. You just send a photo and they do it up! It’s pretty awesome. That’s Pix on her favourite beach, Jett just laying like he does in the backyard and mums dog Keiko loves the sand and sand dunes. Mum lost the white a yellow one a couple of years ago and that was just a really good photo and captures Angel so well. I’ve got a few more custom ones to order! @Cuddlebear

I find it easier too when you can describe it in a different way. Something more understandable.

The time before that they can they had the ambos as well and didn’t give me a choice but being a small country town they just locked me in the ‘safe’ room at the hospital and waited on a mental health nurse to Telehealth through. I answered all her questions the way she wanted to hear them and they let me out!

Tapering of medication is so hard. I had to do it last year and don’t want to go through that again. It made such a mess of things and I needed a lot of support along the way. It was quite dangerous actually. I’m very well medicated I take over 15 tablets a day! Some are more than one though! They all have there purpose though and the last lot and antidepressants my Pdoc added and increased some of the other ones did change things up a bit. I’m all for medication but I know it doesn’t work for everyone and finding the right ones is hard to do.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

Is there anything you may need from us tonight @Cuddlebear? I understand that things are quite hard right now, but know that your consistent efforts to ask for support and show up for yourself (and the community here) never go unnoticed. You're an incredible human and I am keeping every finger and toe crossed that things shift for you very soon. 🥰

What will tonight look like for you? 💛

I also want to validate that your exhaustion makes complete sense. This is a lot to hold and for your body to be experiencing for so long. I am really glad that you're here and talking with us.

I am hoping that our community can help you to hold all that you are going through. @Cuddlebear 💛

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 Customised site is awesome thet really look good. Gee that’s hard having to be in a room involuntarily waiting for Telehealth. We need so much more funding for quality MH care. Sometimes masking is the only way when you don’t want an admission. I get there’s times people need an admission but those public wards are traumatic and have caused so much harm. Tapering is awful & there’s literally zero support. .
