Just wanted you to know that I will be away with my sister and Mum visiting a nephew for a couple of days. We leave early tomorrow morning. There may be a delay (again!) in me seeing your updates.

Although my partner is still on life support and in a very serious condition, he's been fractionally improving within the last couple of days. His heart is now in rythm and his vitals have stabalized somewhat. His wound is still open and they're doing a 3rd operation tomorrow. He was too swollen to close him up.

I'm doing pretty good, probably because I've been put on a relaxation medication. I got a bit emotional yesterday when I saw him. This is good because I've been feeling nothing.

Hope

The night feels heavy, long, and deep,

with fears that steal away my sleep,

yet somewhere through the pain I face

God meets me there with quiet grace.

The storm still shakes the world I know,

and tears still come and softly flow,

but in the middle of the ache

His peace remains for my heart’s sake.

Four days now walking through the fight,

still reaching slowly toward the light,

though every craving calls my name,

God gently whispers just the same.

“You are not walking this alone,

My peace will steady every stone.”

And though the road feels hard and steep,

His hands are strong, His mercy deep.

So even while the shadows stay,

I hold to hope from day to day,

for through the sorrow, fear, and strain,

God’s peace still falls like gentle rain.

@heartathome thinking of you sweetheart. This hits close to home for me as my ex had a pain that turned out to be a perforated bowel. Thankfully it wasn't as severe but he had to have a colostomy bag for quite a while until things could settle enough to reconnect his bowels.
