Heartathome

@REDLINEZ750 I'm trying to make my own little space. Sometimes I realize there is no personal space on here. I know it's for our good but it kinda sucks at times! Are you okay?

@Realness I am glad you are reading. Looked at a bookshop today. Haven't been to one for ages. ha ha my son said I was not allowed to buy anything. I know I have enough books to last a life time. lol

@REDLINEZ750 Not sure if you have surfed the forum upgrades. Missing you.

Re: Heartathome

Hello @Chasingsunsets This is the perfect place for me to talk on a more personal level. I don't tag many people over here. I've been travelling along okay. I'm feeling tired from lack of sleep at the moment, although getting a few more hours a night. The sleep deprivation builds up over time. I haven't been doing much apart from playing Sudoku! I've got Vinnies today which will give me something else to do today. The world outside me (friends) is chaotic.and worrysome. At least my son is going well at the moment. That's really good! 🙂 I haven't been to see the sunrise in a few days because of rain. I miss it! I have the local NSW health district mental health forum on Monday and will stay at my son's place in another towm for it. Teusday is a funeral. Life could be and has been a lot worse! I'm generally happy but tend to worry about others a lot. Thanks for getting in touch and carin! I love talking with you! How are you going? Hows work? Sending big hugs your way, my frienf. 💚

Re: Heartathome

Helloooo @heartathome always lovely to connect and land here too! Thought I better check to see if you were still alright I come by ☺️. I find it hard when there’s no physical door to knock on here😅 to work out how people like there spaces 🤩☀️. How was your day? How was dinner with your neighbours tonight?

I hear the stuff with your friends is stressful, was this the one you had some difficulties with recently just after you came home when your partner was unwell?

I posted a sunset I caught tonight ☺️, not sure when it will come up but going to try posting pics and when they come up go back and captioning and tag the post then. Wasn’t sure if I’d catch the sunset tonight as went in a later walk but managed to see it which was lovely!

how was the forum, sorry! I see it was on Monday!! Hope your son and beautiful polly are good!

always care heartathome, definitely appreciate our connection and just love the photos you share they always brighten up my day and make me smile so thankyou!🫶 I’m okay, Ebs and flows I guess! Works alright too ☺️. Focusing on recharging the batteries now 😀. I am seeing a new physio tomorrow so will see how that goes, looking forward to it and hope they are good/helpful but always have my reservations for various reasons 🤪🙈. Lots of life admin to do I hope I can do some of that tomorrow 🤞. How’s the rest of your week looking?

Re: Heartathome

Hi @Chasingsunsets. The baked chicken and vege's at my neighbours place was great. It was lovely to spend time with his grandaughter. We watched Home and Away together. I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same guy who was in rehab. He's a special friend! I need to prepare myself for less contact when he's using. It breaks my heart but it IS his life and there's nothing I can do about it! I can't help worrying about him but am trying not to let it affect my mental health. I love being on the NSW health (mental health and AOD) forum and see some changes although it is a slow process. I also love seeing photos of your sunsets too. They are spectacular! What part of your body do you see a physio for? I'm glad you can focus on recharging your batteries. It's something I often forget about until I'm burnt out. I'm getting better with it, especially the accumulated lack of sleep. I take extra meds sometimes when I'm wide awake before 3am to go back to sleep. My week ahead looks pretty quiet at the moment but life has a habit of the unexpected. 😉 I hope your week ahead is good and the physio helps. Much love 💚

Re: Heartathome

Sounds delicious @heartathome re dinner last night. I hear what you are saying about your friend. It is such a shame to see the ones we love make choices that might not be the healthiest and as a consequence they change as people. Especially if you’re an empath.

The forum would have been really interesting. Any positive change takes ages and sometimes the negative changes happen quickly. Interesting hey.

Oh thanks re sunsets. Love my time down the beach especially, but we walk everywhere. Use to walk with a massive group but either dogs have died or owners moved so most of the time now it’s just us. Crazy right. Well it’s been over 10 years but crazy how things change.

Im a bit twisted in the spine so it’s my hip at the moment over engaging for I don’t know what reason which has been quite annoying and just a muscle imbalance 🤪. Hopefully it can sort itself out 🤞. The jury is still out on the new physio we will see not sure the vibe is right lol.

I’ve just done a months worth of errands and jobs today so I’m exhausted lol. Got to celebrate a little win of finally some productivity which has been great though. Got a big couple of days ahead but trying not to really think about it too much as just a lot of hours to get through 🫠. Tomorrow I’m cooking dinner for a friend who just had surgery and seeing another friend for tea which will be nice. Forgot to screen shot your post so forgot what else you mentioned I’ll send this and reply to the rest as an edit ☺️

i see you still have a bit of trouble with your sleep atm. Hope it settles for you. I hope to be on tomorrow at some stage to! Lovely to chat as always 💜

Morning @heartathome 🤗, I know sometimes you are up early to watch the sunrise🌅, just dropping in to say thinking of you and hope you have a lovely day ☀️

Re: Heartathome

Thanks @Chasingsunsets I walked down for the sunrise yesterday and all there was were clouds. 🫤

I slept in (on and off) this morning and didn't go down for it. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear so I'm planning to walk down to watch the sunrise. It's going to be 30° up here tomorrow! Spring has sprung and I'm happy about that. I hope everything is okay with you! 💚

Re: Heartathome

Wow @heartathome that’s some strong cloud cover ☺️. I love when the clouds are like your second pic and they look 3D! 🥰. Good to hear you slept in today! How was that nice to relax in bed? Wow a hot one for you tomorrow! I can’t believe it’s spring already! It’s come around so fast! Flicked into another sleep pattern I am hoping it sorts itself out as back to work tomorrow 🤪 could have another day off if I was honest 🤣. Much on for you today? ☀️

Re: Heartathome

Hi @heartathome ,

Hello there. I hope you're having a good day when this finds you.

I just finished a C.S.Lewis Narnia book. Yes, I'm still spending most of my time reading or studying. I've finished 50% of the theology course.

I read a book on Adlerian psychology. In the form of a Socrates dialogue. Somewhat controversial in that it denies trauma. I'm not sure about that part - I think there are wounds that do not heal. But the book landed on a helpful point - living in the now. If we're seeing the past, or the future, too much then our focus is not enough on the now. The book was called The Courage to be Disliked and among other things talks about letting go of other people's expectations.

I bought a sequel of it called The Courage to be Ordinary. I've skimmed it. It's not written as a dialogue so I don't think it is as good. The tone is a bit preachy.

Today I also finished Mark in my Bible study. I'm checking a big document of multiple translations. I'm really enjoying it but it is a dauntingly big task to check each verse.

I'm tending a sick plant in the front garden at the moment. It mostly appears dead but I can see new growth so hopefully it will make it.

I read your posts. I am always heartened to see your name. 😀
