Saturday Soiree -- 6th December 2025

@Jynx I’m not coping very well at all, but have stopped for the day. Got the TV on but very preoccupied with the mess I have created with my hypomanic stupidity. Feeling bad about myself and helpless. I am embarrassed to ask anyone for help. Will try to tackle financial mess over next few days but know it will make me feel so stupid. Sleep is my only escape from the stress.

Hi @Shaz51 . I’m glad you enjoyed your lunch and had a good time. I’ve had an okay afternoon until I checked my emails and saw that my property manager had emailed me her evidence for our upcoming Vcat hearing about our rental which was full of lies and incomplete information. That’s been handed to our lawyers to deal with via my housemate. All I’ll say is thank goodness I had a 4mm crochet hook and wool with me in my suitcase as it’s come in handy as I’ve been crocheting as a form of stress management and dealing with my mental health. Gotta love a crochet hook and some wool!

I did finish my kids jumper earlier today and I’ve been watching the cricket as well. Tonight is going to be more cricket with knitting.

Pretty peopled-out today from family event so i'm havent read through posts yet - just read the 2 you tagged me in @Blackcloud 😊.

I remember when britney spears released "oops i did it again". I still remember the red costume. It was never my type of music, although it doesnt bother me as much now and i can have whatever on in the background. I remember all the fart/poop jokes as a primary-scooler with that song. Hope that snippet makes you smile.

I hope you’re doing ok? I have been in a very similar situation before with a late uni withdrawal (24hrs past the census) the stress of this is huge, I am thinking of you wishing you clarity on whatever you decide.

I vote parrot - I like the others, but wouldn't want to get too close! Whereas we get parrots visiting our back deck regularly

@GezzaP aww hun, I am hearing how hard you are being on yourself. I have to sit in my own mess after big emotional meltdowns a lot, and it can be so easy to blame ourselves. Is there a way you might be able to show yourself a little compassion and gentleness tonight?

What sort of help would you ask for if you didn't feel a sense of embarrassment? Which, so valid by the way. Hugs!

@Shaz51 I am a fan of all three, but snakes don't get enough love I don't think! Some are cute, some are deadly, but all of them are fascinating!!

I am also a bird-lover since I was a kid, but birds of prey and corvids have my heart hahaha
