@Shaz51

They're interesting looking creatures (although I guess parrots and attacking snakes can also be interesting).

Today I ordered some stuff from JB HIFI as they were all on sale with some really good deals!! Guess it’s nice that I’ve been able to buy some stuff for myself (especially cause they’re all on discount) before the Christmas holidays hey!

I’ve even purchased a Britney Spears memoir/book that they’re selling for $15 & am already a few chapters into reading it!

Hi @Messylife . I’ve just read your message about your uni struggles and as a former uni student and soon to be a new uni student next year, I can understand what you’re going through and how hard it must be fur you. I’ve had trouble completing assignments in the past due to distractions - not my phone back in the early 2000s but other distractions- and I was able to contact student services and ask for support regarding this issue. They were also able to help me deal with Lecturers regarding extensions on medical grounds and gave me studying advice to help with motivation and keeping me focused. I had no one in my family who had been to uni and I was in my own in another state to deal with the uni academic pressures as well as developing a mental health condition part way through my course which lead to me changing my course and doing another one. I’ve now got a hecs debt with limited use to the course - Arts degree- but it did help me get into my new course - Social Work- which I’m starting next year as I have developed a passion for mental health and education wellbeing of students and young people.

I know that uni can be hard at times and it seems like a long time to study to try and get a job at the end of it but if you’re passionate about what you’re studying and really want the job at the end of it, then it’s worth the struggle. It’s only for a short period and then you can leave it behind with a qualification that will get you what you want- a job and a career that will make all the hard work worth it. Sometimes you have to take things in small pieces in order to see the big picture. Look at the amount of subjects you’ve already completed and passed and the marks you got in them and compare that to how many subjects you’ve got left in your degree. Hopefully it’s not too many left to complete. Maybe your course also has a practical placement in it as well that you have to do which could give you an opportunity to see what your future will look like once you’ve got your degree. I know that my social work degree is 4 years and I have to wait until my 3rd and 4th years to undertake placements so I’m hoping I’ve made the right choice as this is a job I’d love to do. Some of my subjects aren’t as interesting as others but I’m doing them as I know it’s needed in order for me to get the job I want. That’s uni for you but I know I’ll be learning new things and they’ll be required in my job.

You are a brave person and a smart and intelligent person who has already achieved so much. In the end, it’s your choice as to what you choose to do. I wish you all the best with your decision.

Take care.
