~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Yeah Right?

I couldn't listen to the stories about teeth....YUCK!

My dentist is good early appointments and no talking

Understands my mental health needs and medication stuff.

Who would want the job????

@SmilingGecko you've done so well to get some of it done. Oohhh cabbage is pretty versatile, I'm sure you'll make something yummy to eat 😋.

@Taali Im sorry you arr scared of dentist. I am too. I need a lot of dental work as well but after they told me what I needed recently I never went back. I’m too terrified. I’m in public too.

@Cuddlebear

I suggest you find a dentist who is not afraid of meds.

I've even had anaesthetic for a root canal.

Without giving too much away can you tell me where you are.

eg outer Melbourne, inner-city Perth ....

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

I’m in Melbourne. [edited by moderator] I have peripheral artery disease too so on anti clotters and blood thinners. I’m terrified I can’t at all cope with any procedure and worry because I need 7 tooth extractions, 8 fillings in 7 teeth and dentures after. Plus a tooth clean. I can’t even cope with that.

Just throwing it all into a soup @MissGremlin - easy. I have these produce bags that make produce last for weeks. It cuts down on food costs and waste. Have been troubleshooting my Samsung phone. There was no sound coming out of my headphones. Saw a you tube tutorial on how to fix it. Thought the jack was broken and what an inconvenience. Its all fixed now thankfully

@DownMoreThanUp Hello lovely how are you? That really sums it up that picture. My life is in disarray. This illness has taken so much from me. I have to fight for survival everyday. I cannot get even past that but so I can stabilise more. I’ve never been this bad in my life. The complex PTSD has just exploded in my 50’s. What I masked I cannot mask anymore. There’s no appropriate public services. It’s dreadful and hard. I’m safe.
