~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@DownMoreThanUp letting go is hard when it's all so raw, when it feels deeply unfair, and when we've poured so much energy into trying. I can't even imagine the hurt you're feeling, having had such a long time with your lives woven together, and now no longer. I'm glad you have supports and you have your faith. Hold tight.

Sending you some gentle hugs 💜

@DownMoreThanUp your post is well written. You describe your feelings and the situation very clearly.
Grief is, what it is.
Do you journal?

In response to: Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Glisten i did journal for many years, it sure helps to connect dots, however it have my poems that paved my road forward. Each lesson learned i put into poem form and travelled on from there to the next stage.

@Jynx @Taali @MissGremlin @tyme @Bunniekins

i share you a poem that really helped me on my way, for it has been denied to me by most, i wrote many years ago. And Dining on that helped mev move on where i had been stuck. ( Slightly modified from the original.)

Grace.

Grace is not a feeling or a thought,
Neither can it be sold or bought.

It cannot be swallowed like a pill,
Or cheaply ease some inner ill.

Grace does not enforce any demand,
Nor is anything personal banned.

Rather it is Truth's healing hand of Love,
compassion descend when not good enough

Lifting us gently out of our inner pain,
So we can safely be ourselves again.

@judi9877

I tried to tag you and I hope a mod can rectify it and tag you for me.

I am so sorry all this has been happening for you both while at uni.

GOOD ON YOU for stickiing with it and persevering with your Social Work studies. I was talking with a lecturer in SW this week, and I know there is a lot of good work happening. Keep doing your best, with self care as needed.

The fragmentation of supports with so many paid workers but a shemozzle of a situation is really concerning. I believe it is important that you shared what happened. It is not good, and clients, workers and all vulnerable persons need to be aware. Thank you

Take care

@tyme Sometimes the tagging is not working properly. I have been trying for 5 minutes to get the server to pick up Judi's profile in hypertext, so that I can respond to her post, where she tagged me. She has been going through serious times and I feel it is important that she does get the support from forum allies.

This change that only allows us to see the most recent posters is becoming inappropriate for the forum's purposes.

@Appleblossom Not sure what you are using but on my browser i have no issues tagging anyone lately.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Can you tag @Judi9877 please, and refer her back to my post @DownMoreThanUp I know I am not the only one and that it is a Sane tek problem, not mine.

Old nerd here, My robotics trained nephew has filled a USB with lots of beautiful photos which I have to sort, so I need to log off.
