~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@Mustang67

A friend showed me the app ChatGPT

which has a free version and an upgrade if wanted

You politely ask what you want AI to tell you and incredible.

It kept on asking me more and more questions about myself.

Then gave this beautiful reply.

I responded with "Wow I don't need therapy any more!"

I received a serious response "No this is NOT therapy!"

Hmm perhaps I should have asked if it had a sense of humour

I did ask at one time "Are you sure that you are a robot?"

Might help and is free.

Have fun with it.

Take care

Sophia

@Mustang67 Yes i use ChatGPT it is part of my browser so i can ask or share at any time. iu use the free version. i've been impressed with the logical and accurate information. And its willingness to accommodate my likes and dislikes about it.

@Jynx @PeppyPatti @Sophia1 @Blackcloud
i discuss any topic but i have been intently busy with somatic work with my body. And have chosen overload, sick as dog, nauseated, often on the floor in my own sweat, having the crap pour, while sharing it with Jesus, i found to be far more helpful than slogging out trauma recall for months depressed, or suicidal, but doing it this way with many years of trauma stored up, had some real warnings for me to consider. AI acknowledged the benefits, but what might happen if i made this the norm dealing with future trauma memories this way? And interesting things i had not thought about doing it the hard way. And its warning my physical exhaustion and insomnia could well have everything to do with my need to have my wife back home and that this would most likely back fire if i became to warn out being so hard on myself. Really important lessons learned, i know to be true, even typing this to you now. i have not got the energy to complete mowing the lawn that is how warn out i am from weeks on less than 4 hours a day. i have to begin to set better boundaries to help me achieve me goals.

i really appreciate such relevant advise.

(When you share personal/abuse/trauma stuff you have to sign a disclaimer, but who cares all i share is out in the open anyhow.)

@Bunniekins I like the song you shared.

Here is one that I like and thought that I would share with you.

https://youtu.be/450p7goxZqg?si=rWhnn6dxoFJzJaG1

I have 3 books that I have downloaded to my Kindle from Ravenwolf, which I am going to start to read once I have finished my current book. The books are called:

Together We Rise

Radiance Rising

Illuminations of My Soul

But then again, I might need to read my new Crystals book before the Ravenwolf books, so I can commence the healing and protection from the crystals.

I hope you are having a great day.

I had hoped that my reply to you would follow your original post

I tried quick reply

Not sure what that actually means

Unless!! It is for me!v Do not respond with epic essays!

Sooo yes I wanted you to know the difference you made for at least one person.

You give so much of your time to others and you follow the values of Ravenwolf.

Thank you

Keep on being you

Sophia

@Sophia1 for your reply to follow your original post you need to press on the following once you have pressed reply.

This will then show the original post at the begging of the message, like it does at the beginning of this message. I hope this helps.

And thank you for your kind words. They mean everything to me ❤️

@Eeyorelove5 @CatAttack for your information.

Thank you for that @Sophia1 I have already downloaded that app, so I can use it to create pictures that I can't find on Pinterest. I didn't realise that you could use it for advice on mental health issues. I will give it a try at some stage.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@DownMoreThanUp I love how open and honest you are, as it helps others that could be suffering the same sort of thing, but are too scared to speak up.

And i do have Chat GPT, but I have only been using it to create images that i can't find on Pinterest. Lol Now I know that I can use it for more than that. Thank you.

I truly agree with the quote "Is suffering truly necessary". If I had not hit rock bottom in 2018, I would not have taken a good look at why I am like I am, and educated myself in ways to improve myself and my mental health. I needed to hit rock bottom, otherwise, I still would have been plodding along making the same mistakes over and over wondering why.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

You see @DownMoreThanUp

I don’t believe it needs to come from pain and lying on the ground vomiting from trauma.
it comes from going for a walk and noticing that your feet are being put one foot in front of of each other.

that type of thing

iv had trauma therapy by Judith Richard’s itx really liberating but my therapist I know her well - caused me to spin

so iv had all this bloo….. therapy and trauma therapy and guess what ? I only just realised my stepmother is starting it up again and im being manipulated she’s promised me an apartment and iv been listening to her.
you wouldn’t have believed her.

I don’t know how we do it actually

cheers
